  1. Hasn't been abnormally long here in KS, we usually get winter weather well into February. Jerkbaits!!!!!
  2. Thats too bad, I wanted a lefty but all they had was righty. I got one just because it was a good deal and I can handle RH for moving baits.
  3. I got a Citica G from Dick's a month ago for $69, I think you could find a much better deal on a reel. And like you said just wait for the Curado G to go on clearance.
  4. Trust me that's what I planned on doing, I have a couple BPS micro lite spinning rods that I'm saving for him.
  5. That is if you have a spincast reel.....which I don't. I'm sure I could find a snoopy rod at wally world for cheap, guess I need to buy one at some point for my son anyway
  6. Shimano compre or clarus 7'2" M/F would work well. At the top of your price range I would recommend the Crucial in 7'1" M/F or ML/F, and the St Croix Rage 6'10" ML/XF.
  7. Or a ned rig
  8. Hopefully they do it like that, I have a couple old plastic shimano spinning reels laying around that need to go away.
  9. I've never done the trade in before, will they take any reel or does it have to be a casting reel?
  10. Palomar for everything, except for tying braid to leader material and for that I use the modified albright.
  11. Basspro makes the carbonlite in 6'9" MH/XF. I use the 7' MH/F carbonlite for jigs and t-rigs and it works well.
  12. I would throw that crappy looking thing away..... unless you got rid of that donkey on the side of it But seriously those are amazing looking, I wouldn't mind having one with a Royals emblem.
  13. Yes it was!!!!
  14. Glock 23 right now, will be adding a S&W M&P Shield 9 MM in the next month.
  15. My buddy and I are in for Thursday, Clayton and Jon just need to decide where we're going
  16. The powell diesel is on sale right now for $54.88 at tackle warehouse. I ordered one from a local tackle shop and the guy is matching the TW price. Heard a lot of good things about the rods.
  17. Dang Chris he sounds like a really nice guy. When and where was this tourney?
  18. I bought the exact same one last April after the cable snapped in our '93 evinrude trolling motor for about the fifth time. It is a very solid motor and has plenty of power. You should like it. And yes, cable steering is SO much better than electric. I've only used one electric steer trolling motor so not that much experience with it, but I'll tell you that after a few minutes I wanted to rip it off the bow of the boat.
  19. Great deal you got there! I had a 1000 solstace for many years as a crappie reel and it served me well. You wont be disappointed in those combos.
  20. Emailed Raymond yesterday and asked him if he could get a powell diesel spinning rod and if he would price match the sale that TW has on them right now. Said he would order it on monday and match their price. Great price on a pretty good rod.
  21. In that third picture, what species are the birds in your left hand that are beige and have the darker colored wings?? And....is that a mexican mallard or a mottled duck in the second picture? Very cool variety by the way.
  22. Shawnee. Grand.
  23. Not at our local basspro.... I had two compres last year (have since moved on to St Croix Rage) that had the epoxy fail on the reel seat. The second time it had been almost four months since I purchased it. I took it in to the BPS where I bought it with a receipt in hand and they gave me a really hard time about it being past 90 days. I attempted to explain Shimano's over the counter warranty and only when the manager came to customer service did they look through their policy book and found out that I was right. I was not that impressed by their customer service people over this one...
  24. I'll be there tomorrow
