I live in Jacksonville FL and I was fishing a canal. There were 2 gators 5 gar that we saw and bass, big bass, jumping clear out the water!
I have never seen anything like this it happened 5 times in a hour. The first one we saw jumped about no exaggeration I am under estimating 4 feet out the water, and had a belly on it so it wasn't a small one. The last one we saw was huge I'm talking over 4 LB and got out about 2 feet above the water.
If I had a go pro this footage would have been amazing to see. The huge one jumped directly in front of me it was amazing.
I've seen fish on national geographic do that but never largemouths.
Anyone else ever seen anything like this? It amazed me that fish that size could clear out of the water like that.
