  1. Yea I wish I could just take pics off my iPhone and upload them to the site
  2. I am the same way I lose patience a lot of times and want to move on to the next spot that looks promising.
  3. Lol that was great I'm going to tell my girl this one
  4. My mom is deathly afraid of snakes. There is no question if she ever saw one in her house she would move out of the state of FL
  5. I want to do some Peacock bass fishing. Anybody know the closest place to Jacksonville where I can catch em?
  6. Went out today to my spot caught a few small ones and saw the resident alligator swimming around but other than the gator no real excitement
  7. I live in Jacksonville I've never caught a peacock bass I don't think they are native to this area waters probably get too cold during the winter months
  8. I hook them through the lips (only problem is they have trouble opening their mouth but they still last pretty long). When I am not feeling lazy I hook them through the upper lip and out their nostril (this allows them to open their mouth and they last longer only problem is they slip off the hook easier when casting)
  9. Nice fish fry em up and throw some Louisana hot sauce on it
  10. Whenever I fish dark water I usually target the same area over and over again. It gives the bass multiple chances to locate and target your lure, generally I am throwing dark colored soft plastics or some sort of jig with a trailer.
  11. I'm about to head out and do some fishing before nightfall hopefully I can add some length to my total
  12. That is what I was thinking either that or tey were feeding on bugs that were on the surface or flying over the water
  13. I am new to bait casters too. I have 2 of them I got a abu Garcia Orra sx and I have the abu Garcia revo STX. I have the Orra set up on a 6'6" bass pro tourney rod. I luckily got both my reels brand new for free... I think the Orra was around $100 and the revo STX was $200. So when I get the hang of the bait cast I will upgrade my rods
  14. Yea that was a great video but that 10 pounder didn't have the vertical that the fish I saw today. The 10 pounder is doing hurdles the bass today were on the high jump
  15. I wish I had video of these big bass jumping out the water. The height they got and the size of them was unbelievable still blows my mind several hours later!
  16. I like my special cigars And MCS congrats on the the girl on the way! If your wife is giving birth at Baptist South those lakes have some nice fish in em, but that will be the last thing on your mind lol
  17. Yea I figured smaller ones do but to see something that big get out of the water so high was remarkable. It reminded me of that show Air Jaws during shark week where they have footage of great white sharks jumping out the water
  18. Nice fish man
  19. Great photos looks like a great spot I fish one that looks similar
  20. I live in Jacksonville FL and I was fishing a canal. There were 2 gators 5 gar that we saw and bass, big bass, jumping clear out the water! I have never seen anything like this it happened 5 times in a hour. The first one we saw jumped about no exaggeration I am under estimating 4 feet out the water, and had a belly on it so it wasn't a small one. The last one we saw was huge I'm talking over 4 LB and got out about 2 feet above the water. If I had a go pro this footage would have been amazing to see. The huge one jumped directly in front of me it was amazing. I've seen fish on national geographic do that but never largemouths. Anyone else ever seen anything like this? It amazed me that fish that size could clear out of the water like that.
  21. Yea man that is rough having to swim after your boat lol. Luckily you weren't in gator waters if that happened in FL, GA, LA you would think twice about swimming after your boat.
  22. Those are some nice fish Lou. I always wanted to fish the glades but don't know anybody with a boat
  23. Went out to Ponte Vedra today caught a 21" and a bunch of smaller ones. Caught the 21" on a Yum 10.5" Mightee Worm in June bug. Same bait I caught the other 21" on the other day at my spot by bartram
  24. If we allowed snakeheads you south Florida guys would kill us in terms of length, I'm from Jacksonville and I have never even seen a snakehead in any of the places I fish
