  1. I enjoy catching anything over 2 pounds. Also you have to think that the bigger ones might not bite or be as active because that is how they got so big by being weary of unnatural things. You throw some live bait fish on a hook guarentee you will lure out those bigger ones, but obviously you will get the smaller ones as well. In my backyard pond I was consistantly catching ones that were between 3-5 seemed like every other cast, early summer. So figured that was the norm until I saw one 1 foot offshore that was easily double digits at first glance I thought it was a carp then realized it was a bass, I still have not caught it or even seen it.

  9. yea man definitly need to get you a new scale if it said that fish in your picture was 2 pounds, its tail looks about 2 pounds lol. I would say that is at least 6 1/2 I would say between 6 1/2 to 8.

  15. Looks like you had a productive day of fishing... the rain has been killin me I can barely get out. I am gonna have to man up and go out in the storm if I wanna catch some fish
  16. I'm over in Jax and I fished my backyard pond when it was raining lightly and i caught a 2.10lb on a spinner bait. I was only fishing for about 25 mins though
  17. Nothng like hooking a fish and feeling the strike on a spinner bait
  18. looks like some sort of shiner to me... I use them as bait
  19. I was living in NJ so I could not fish all winter because of the snow and freezing temps. But now that I am in FL I will be fishing all year round!
  20. after looking at all the pics I would have to say a replica mount is not the way to go, they look too fake. Fishing has been around for centuries and it is a way of survival... food. I understand people's views about killing a trophy bass but regardless of your views fishing is a way to eat first THEN a sport/hobby second(even though I fish for sport not food I don't like eating fish). But that one fact can not be argued. So it is not selfish or wrong to kill a trophy fish that you caught. If it was a family in another country, or a family in the US that could not afford to buy food so they fish, it would not be wrong to kill that 10 pounder so they can eat. SO if that is acceptable then why not get the fish mounted? At least the mount will last you years when someone eats a fish they catch they digest it and thats it, gone forever.
