  2. I made a face book group called Jacksonville Bass Anglers you guys should join there's about 500 on there and we post our pics of catches daily. Check us out
  3. Wow by far the fattest 4 & 5lbers I have ever seen and I'm from Florida lol I know fish are built differently in different states but wow.
  4. Check out a Facebook group I created for use locals called Jacksonville Bass Anglers search for it and send a request I will accept it. There's about 400 of us and we use it to show our catches, gather information, buy sell or trade fishing stuff, gain fishing partners, etc.
  5. I still want that one you found in Orlando where you caught those two on the Hudd
  6. Yea thing was obese lol I'm sure you see his pics all over Facebook he puts em all over he definitely is a good angler.
  7. His fish was actually on the bank under a grass mat. Probably 2-4ft of water right on bank. She didn't make much effort he said the second his frog came in front of it she smoked it
  8. Amazing start to 2016 for my two fishing partners and I. January 1st: Jermaine started it with his 10lbs 10oz (his new personal best) on a black zoom horny toad. January 2nd: I catch an 8lb 3oz on a blue gill rat-l-trap (I had to check my fish a couple times couldn't believe she was only 8 lol) January 3rd: Rich catches an 8.06 on a rat-l-trap We all fish together but the past 3 days when we caught our trophies we weren't together and each fish was caught in a different part of Jacksonville, FL (rich got his on a golf course). All fish are caught and released and Florida Trophy Catch certified. If you live in FL and don't know about the program or don't participate you need to. It's a catch and release program that awards you Bass Pro Shop gift cards ($100, $150, $200) for fish caught 8+ pounds. Regardless of the incentives the program offers you must ALWAYS catch and release it's the only way to make these moments plentiful for everyone. QUESTION: Jermaine was told by someone on his Facebook that his fish may be some sort of hybrid. I forget exactly what he was telling me but said something about how the mouth is small, fin coloration, and the girth of the fish with its lack of length. He sent pics and what he was told to the FWC Facebook page so he's waiting on a response.
  9. What ratio reel do you throw it on? I was just throwing this last night with a gambler EZ swimmer as a trailer. I bought a new 13 *** reel but it's a 5.3:1. I just tied it on there to see what the action looks like in the water. Not sure if that's the right ratio or should I tie it on one of my 7s?Appreciate any input
  10. Nice fish! Best part of post was "making her look like a 12" lol good 1
  11. Caught on a Booyah Pad Crasher in Albino, my favorite frog! I cut the legs at the tip of the frog nose then I snipped another 1/2inch off and I have never had an issue with the hook set. At first I thought I cut the frog too short so I ordered another one, by the time it arrived it has stayed in the box and this one has never came off my rod except to re tie.
  12. I never have and I've thrown multiple treble baits millions of times lol I have spots in FL that if it ever happens it's going to be atleast 8lbs on the lure, but I fish em all the time and it hasn't yet
  13. As for north Florida, Jacksonville to be specific, I have caught a few fish between 8-11 pounds and I find that here the 4-6lbers fight way harder. My biggest is 11 and my other 2 fishing partners are between 10-12. My buddy Rich has caught 3 between 11-12 and we both say the same thing. The big ones you obviously feel their weight but as for a fight from our experience seems like the 4-6s put up bigger fights. That being said I need to catch a Peacock bass (they are only in south FL) and a real smallmouth (lived in NJ growing up and I caught them but I wasn't even close to being into fishing as I am now so I don't even remember the fight nor count that as a check of the fish bucket list)
  14. Awesome
