  1. I think there are 23 recorded black bears in little river canyon park in dekalb county
  2. I go to the tackle trap every week and i havent seen them in store yet
  3. The only thing i have heard was they are planning on spraying around peoples docks so they could actually get there boat out and swim but fished a tourney there last night and it hasnt gone anywhere yet.
  4. My biggest problem with them is the inserts coming out of the guides. They have on every duckett ive ever had but other than that i havent really had any other problems. I also fish guntersville and personally i would want the xh to.
  5. No i dont know the actual depth difference but i will say i havent ever used mono or braid for cranking i have always used flouro simply for the fact that it does sink and it helps your bait dive deeper. Im sure it doesnt have the sensitivity that braid does and also majority of the time im fishing really clear water which is another reason i prefer flouro. In your case with the water being muddy it shouldnt really matter unless your deep cranking to use braid. Thats jmo though hope it helps.
  6. Another thing to consider that i dont think has been mentioned is you will not get the full depth out of your crank since braid floats. I also throw flouro with cranks.
  7. If the water is high i would fish the new water. Thats just my opinion but fish seem to love new water.
  8. Man that sucks. That sounds like my luck.
  9. For the cover your suggesting i would go with abrazx to make sure your line is not fraying bad. Also as was mentioned the abrazx wont have the stretch either but i dont think you can go wrong with any seaguar jmo.
  10. Sounds to me like its very similar to the SHOT show.
  11. Roll tide!
  12. I am currently using 20lb abrazx fishing deep jigs and i love it.
  13. If any of the drop offs have submerged grass i would also try a carolina rig and a drop shot.
  14. From my experience if you do hook it make sure to keep constant pressure on it because for me i have had several fish come off from just a little bit of slack. I just started fishing jigs this year and once you get the hang of it i have become addicted to them. I have to agree with what was said you may want to wait just a second or two longer before setting the hook.
  15. Two weeks ago we caught 20 fish dragging shell beds in 8-10 fow between south sauty and bb comer with the water temp in the mid to upper 70s so maybe that will help.
  16. Like zip said find some grass. Senkos are working right now caught 30 sunday.
  17. The weather for monday and tuesday looks good. I think its supposed to storm sunday according to the weather man but i think you will be fine. Im sure i will be fishing saturday or sunday one.
  18. There was a highschool tournament this past weekend with 210 boats and 20 to 30 mph winds so i think you would be fine.
  19. Yea im not trying to scare you out of fishing because i havent seen it happen but a couple of times but there has been a front come thru the last two weekends and we have fished. There was 15 to 20 mph winds. What days are you coming?
  20. Well ive seen four feet swells before but its mainly on the main channel. Theres a lot of pockets and creeks to fish so it shouldnt be to hard to find somewhere to fish. Im not really familiar with that part of the lake i usually fish more up river but i did look at the weather and like you said it sure aint looking to hot. All i can suggest is jerkbaits, traps, and an a rig just from weeks past. The water temps been holding steady in the mid 50s for the last couple of weeks though. Hope some of this helped.
  21. I fish guntersville almost every weekend and if theres high winds it can make fishing real difficult. I usually try to find a creek out of the wind if possible. If you dont mind me asking where do you plan on launching from?
  22. You cant go wrong with a duckett. I dont have that model but i have four and i love them
  23. I use a 7'11" duckett crankin rod with a winch and i absolutely love it. I have a 7' cranking rod to but i think its more personal preference. I like the longer one better my self
  24. I have four of them. 6'9" mhc 6'9" crankin 7'3" mhc and the 7'11" cranking and i love them. Im in the process of swithing all my rods over and for the money they cant be beat imo. They also have two new models out on there website.
