  1. I'm curious, would there be negative effects if I took the original hooks off and put #4's or even #6's on it? I'm thinking about doing that in case a smaller fish decides to inhale it, and hopefully I'll get easier hook penetration.
  2. No it was a plastic lip, it looks almost identical to the series 3, and could be the series 3, but it wasn't called that back then
  3. Can someone help me identify a lure. I know it's a Strike King, but can't remember the name. It looks like a series 3, but it was probably made in the mid to late 80's. I thought it was a physco scout, but that's not it. I tried to attach a pic, but the file was too big..and it wouldn't let me upload it.
  4. I use 30 min. expoxy when I seal crankbaits I've painted, but I don't like the shine it leaves, is there a sealer I can use, where only the color of the bait will show, no sheen on the bait?
  5. I've been trying to get the color right, and think I'm close. Will try to post pics when I get the lures done. I tried to paint scales on them tonight, but when I lifted the netting off, there were bubbles where the netting was. What am I doing wrong?, Is it too much pressure or what?
  6. I have been trying to get Strike King to offer the blue gizzard shad color on there 1.5 crankbaits. So far, to no avail. I've tried to reproduce the color but haven't been able to get it right.. Can someone give me some insight in exactly how to paint this color on a bait.
