Here is the thread of our last competition in December of last year.

I own the same combo of rods you bought. But mine are 7ftrs. I really like and enjoy the CL's they are light, transmit well, have good back bone. LOL... I also have an avid, but that's one of my babies, and its been an awesome rod for me. Enjoy your new rods!! Congrats, the Mrs was on board.
I wish you guys the best, if you all are able to get a bragging rights tourney off the ground. Caylub, has been working at trying to get one off the ground for a while now. I have been following you guys on here for a little while and i think there are enough of you to give the tourney a go. We were fortunate and very successful launching and maintaining the same tourney down in FL for 7 consecutive months last year. It was a fun experience and we had a good time. Best of luck to all of you.
You have horny toads, and also look at the hollow body frogs. Those are really FUN!! Once you experience a blow up and thud of a strong hookset, it's over....
Thank you for the responses. I am relieved I am not the only parent that thinks children should not have cell phones til they are older. Someone mentioned, how they know where their kids are at, at all times, and I second that statement.
Cellphones. I am a parent of 2 young kids 5 and 7. I was blown away one day when I picked up my son from 2nd grade, and I saw a few of his classmates pulled out smart phones from their book bags after class and started typing away on them. THEY ARE 7!!. Maybe it's me but I think that's a little too young to have a cell phone for yourself. Yes, some can bring up the case in case for emergencies they will feel safer, but they are in school. Anyways, I just wanted to hear the thoughts of some of you who are parents. Non-parents are welcome too.
I am Costa's guy, however another pair of glasses that I have that are not bad at all are Native's. Good lense, light frames. I bought the pair I have for around $99.
Tough one, when you can't get your hands on one. I have never fished an aetos, but I have fished a B/C Avid 7ft MH for several years now. Great tough rod. It has landed many a nice fish. It suits me well. Every rod will have there pro/ con's and if you are going to drop $200 on fishing hardware that you plan to have for a while, I would try to get my hands around one before pulling the trigger.
Remember bass will spawn at different times through out their spawning season. I have caught big bass spawning in June still. If the conditions are favorable.
Cool dude... that's awesome. I saw a couple spawning on the same day I caught that 4lbr bass. I didn't want to mess with them. They were 2+ for sure, but I have seen much bigger.
