I wanted to welcome back Fstr and Bass czar, you guys were missed. With you two coming on board we are officially at 20 participants.

I would also like to take this time to welcome aboard fishingator. She is our first lady bass angler, to join our competition.

Cool, when you have a chance upload the pics with the measurements and I will put you up on the board for 24". This weather messed me up today. I will not be able to hit the water til at least Fri.

Speaking of weather. Looks I am indoors for the rest of the day. Weather is looking pretty bad. I wanted to try out the new fluke sticks I picked up.

I feel for you. Losing $$ lures hurts. When I start losing 2 of the same bait because of snags or rocks, I switch lures real quick.

I would say welcome aboard, but I know you already.. LOL.

What's up guys. NEjitterbug, check this out, we are already at 18 participants, and our cutoff date is on Saturday. We have 3 more than we had last month. You guys put up some real beautiful fish last month, keep it up.

You're right, it was passing thought. My minimum is actually a higher number, just because I know what you guys bring to the table by the end of the month. But I agree, once people see what the avg length is, the majority will use that length as their minimum.

BTW, what did you guys think of a 12" slot minimum? As far as competing with NE group goes, its simply compiling the biggest 15 vs their 15 for the month of October. No biggie, seems easy enough to do. I am curious though why 15?

It's all good JaxBasser. I put you down for 17.5, you might find this entertaining. My wife and I were having this discussion on your fish and she said, she would have given you 18" because the tale of your fish was off the tip of the measuring tape. All I can say is do the best you can, with what's going on.

Nice fish Jaxbasser! Too bad for the snake though. I know people have different views/beliefs of snakes, how about we don't post pics of dead creatures. However, going back to fishing, if it was my fish I would lean toward the 17.5" sometimes fish do not cooperate and they don't keep their mouths closed. I will leave it up to the advisory board lol, to make that call. We are not to nit picky over here. Way to break the ice!!!

Did you guys know we are being followed my several people who not from FL. They enjoy what we got going on. Heck, another part of the country as their own competition going, up in the NE, moderated my NEjitterbug. All this, because a small group of guys decided to do something fun and different for a change. WTG guys!! I am proud to be part of this group.

The day is not over, and we are all ready at 12 participants and we still have previous contestants who have not reported in.
