  1. FSTR, Miami fishing has been slow. At least for me, for a while. You guys in Broward have been getting into them pretty good this week.
  2. Now you know you can catch them, now go do that over and over again.
  3. As promised here are Week #1 numbers. [Pls note some of these numbers are unofficial (UO) til pics and measurements are provided.] 1. AK 96" with 4 fish. (UO) 2. JaxBasser 91.75" with 5 fish 3. Rovingmutt 87.5" with 5 fish 4. FSTR 85.5" with 5 fish 5. Lgmouth 82" with 5 fish (UO) 6. Martin 69" with 4 fish 7. Fishinggator 63.50" with 5 fish 8. Dynomyte 57" with 4 fish 9. Dsidle 34" with 2 fish 10. Bassinlou 31" with 2 fish. There you have it folks. Very productive week for many of you, nice work. No big fish have been submitted yet. May all of you have an even better week 2.
  4. Jaxbasser, I put down 17 3/4 for the fourth fish. So your total will be 91.75. Good job. I will post totals later tonight.
  5. An alligator will eat the loser. LOL!!
  6. AK, I wanted to publicly apologize for escalating our disagreement. I hope you and I can move forward past this and enjoy the rest of the competition.
  7. It's nice to see you guys getting into quality fish. You guys have been trying to get into them for a while. I am glad the new motor has helped you out LGmouth.
  8. Bass Czar, its nice to see you back on the board. It has been while.
  9. Oh BTW, I don't know if anyone was following but are field of participants has been locked at 20. No one stepped up for a last second entry. This month what I will post differently, will be the top anglers. Instead of the top 5, as per some of your request, I will post top 10. Also remember we recognize big fish for the month, so pls remember your scales. We do not play " what's your guess of this fish's weight" game. You forgot your scale and you caught a big fish, we will "ooh and ahh" your catch but the recognition goes to the one who actually weighed their fish. I will report tonight after everyone has posted there catches for the weekend. Good Luck to everyone, including you the "obvious ninja".
  10. I agree with above thread, its not your outfit, check the frogs hooks, sometimes after high use the hook points dull out. If the frog hooks are good, then its possible the hooks are not connecting just right on the hookset.
  11. AK, a little down the road, when you narrow down when your actually coming down we will plan it right and have our own meet and greet Fl bragging rights style.
  12. Before I shut down for the night. I wanted to congratulate everyone who has started with strong numbers right off the bat. I agree with Martin, the field has been set to have a very competitive October. Who knows what tomorrow brings. I know Lgmouth and maybe Martin (if he behaved, LOL..) are going out on the boat tomorrow. Fstr is back in the fight, and you know surprises will happen there. AK.... well AK thinks he is going to be slick and surprise us at the end of the month with extraordinary numbers. TightlinesJax has yet to post, but that doesn't mean anything. He will post strong numbers. Are current leader Rovingmutt the new kid on the block is showing promise. It's anybody's tournament. We have officially 20 people and the cutoff I just remembered is tonight.
  13. What happen to that fish's nose??
  14. Hey Ninja (aka: AK) who's not fooling anyone. Be careful what you ask for, I do not have problems taking back invitations.
  15. Dynomyte I got your fish down. Ak, is being all supportive to everyone, you are not fooling me. It's obvious you have gone fishing.
  16. LOL. That's true, all I could see was that big mouth staring at me.
  17. Rovingmutt your pics are fine, you will get better over time. Some are more focused than others, but I am not going to nit pick, the sizes look legit. WTG!! Nice catches. I have your catches documented, and guess what? For now you are the leader at 87". Fstr is in 2nd with 85.5" Martin in 3rd with 69". Nice numbers going into the month on day 5 guys/gals.
  18. Shan, what were using to catch these guys on? What part of town?
  19. Keep your head, up "there's no sulking in bassfishing!!"
  20. And..... FSTR is back ladies and gentleman. Nice to see you back in the game and really getting my competitive juices going! LOL.
  21. Tx, that would make sense. oops!! so much for speed reading, LOl.
  22. LOL, I have yet to see the OP return to this thread since posting. Yes, the bass was big and beautiful, who knows how heavy it was, I still want to know what was wrong with the scale that was right next to him the whole time!! LOL.
  23. Weather is suppose to be nice down here this weekend so I am going to hit the water on SAT and SUN late afternoon. I am going to work this section of canal that's close to me with a bunch of low and fallen trees. It's screaming to be frogged. LOL.
  24. Martin I apologize, I did not give you any props on your catches. You beat your last month's score by 3.5 times already, and that's with only 4 fish. LOL. Nice to see you on the board early.
  25. I like the fluke stick, they didn't go crazy for it today, however I see that it can be productive when the timing is right. I twitched up top at varying speeds. The 17.5" was part of a wolf pack that was working the area, so he got there first and inhaled it. The little fork at the end of the bait gives it sort of a whipping action. Pretty cool. Around some grass/pads, deadly!!
