  1. I have the carbonlite spinner, never had experience with the Dobyns, but just like their b/c counter part, the spinner CL is nice. Very sensitive, light weight, and stronger than it looks. For $50 jump on it, that's a great deal.
  2. I am with bluebasser, I will discuss on the forum general areas, but specific locations, nope. I will privately, discuss locations with members that I have known for a while, but a spot hunter, I develop my own case of lock jaw.
  3. Jumping fish can be tricky sometimes. For example, when I am in my boat and I have nice bass that decides to jump, I actually shove my rod into the water. The bass will attempt to jump, but I take the slack out, and it just becomes a slow headshake. On the bank however depending on the type of cover you are dealing with your technique must change. For example, little to no cover I keep the rod pointing down to minimize the jumping as best as possible. If you are fishing around moderate to heavy cover, I actually exaggerate and raise my rod up to where the my reel is at shoulder level, so that I may pull the bass over the cover quickly. If you give the fish the upperhand in this situation, it will dig into the vegetation and you might lose it.
  4. WTG!! NE!! That was a great article. Way to lead from the front. Congrats..
  5. Gator I am glad you are getting action on the frog. It's exciting to say the least. If you don't mind me asking, What set up are you using to frog? Braid? mono? What power rod were you using?
  6. I was feeling left out so I wanted to submit this nominee.... for little fish nominee of course.... LOL. This is all I can catch lately in my neck of the woods. Sad I know....

  9. I can't believe the weekend is upon us already. I wanted to wish every one luck this weekend.... Yes, that means you to Martin... . Remember, I will not post this week's standings until Monday sometime. I want to give everyone who fishes over the weekend some time to post and upload pics.
  10. It was some old tech before hydrowave's time.... I will show how it works when you come out on my boat in the spring.... LOL. (SA!!)
  11. AK, mine is very easy to see. Go on google or BPS website and type in tracker Pro team 165. The only difference is mine is from 1999. LOL.. She's old, but man has she caught some fish.
  12. LOL... LGM, what in the world happened to you today?? Oh... I know... you saw Russel0048, video on big bass caught on topwater frogs..
  13. Good news you caught fish. Not so good news, we will never see them. Like you said, next time. Nice to see you posting though.
  14. Inmho, it depends on application(s) that you plan to use for that outfit. For example, a medium rod will not give you sufficient back bone for frogging. You might get away with the hookset, however if you are in some decent amount of cover you might run in to some problems. Again, it depends on the applications you have planned for it.
  15. It suits me just fine as Direct TV, suits you. That's the beauty of options.
  16. What I meant to say before auto correct jumped in was battle of the vids like videos. Lol.

  22. Fortunately, you get along with your boss too. Doesn't he have the house in the Bahamas?
  23. LOL... that's true, we should have that category, but I think Gator is winning this one. The bass was smaller than her stick worm. It's amazing what little bass go after.
