No, actually I am not. I have been born and raised in South Florida, and believe or not I have never seen snow before. I love to learn new things, and I was curious if during the winter all the ponds and lakes froze over in the NE. If so, how far south does this freeze over occur? I apologize if I came off like if I was poking fun of your situation. I know I would be bummed if the tables were turned.

I will have to take advantage of the weather today. We are forecasted to have mostly sunny skies with a light winds, and its the last day of daylight savings time. After today, my fishing time will be limited to Fri afternoons, and a few hours on the weekends.

I own two of them, 1 bc, and 1 spinner. They are great rods and for the $$ even better.

FYI everyone today has been a record day. Our first day of the month and we have 18 people and counting participating so far. We still have some former participants that have not come back yet, and I sent out some more additional invites . Let see if these individuals are interested to come on board. Here are my catches for the day. I went to the park and caught a 14" swimming a stick worm Okeechobee color on the surface. I was using 10lb yozuri, with 1/16 weight, and a 2/0 gami hook. The second fish went for 17" I caught this one, on the same outfit, weight, and hook. The lure however was a wm seed centipede.

I documented Dsidle and AK's catch. Way to get on the board quick. Dsidle nice pig. Best part, you caught it on the frog!!!

You guys obviously know I am not from up North, so I think this question is legit. Do the majority of all of you guys fishing spots freeze over?

With that track record we should expect some nice pics.

Grizzn if you don't have a place to show off your catches, you are welcomed to do it here, they will not count toward the ongoing FL competition however, but, we can always admire someone else's catches. You can provide details if you want, but the data may not be relative to our Fl waters, but the info will be interesting to see. Best of luck this month.

Ok... we are less than 24hrs in November, and we have 12 people in and one catch already. This starting off real nice. Remember cutoff is Tuesday we still have plenty of time to come on board. Everyone who posted their intentions to play, I got you down. On Wed I will post all the competitors names under the regions of the state they are from. For example Jacksonville already is being represented so far by 4 people.
