Alright gang, a new month is here before us and you all know what that means..... new competition time!!! If you participated last month, or you are new member, or you have been following us now for while and you're just curious. Now is your time to join us. I am proud to say that this will be our 7 month of having this monthly competition. Last month we had 27 participants and we are looking to grow that number. So please, any BR FL member can join. All we ask is that you play fair and have fun while you are with us. Just to give contenders an idea of what they are up against, here were Novembers top five bags (sort of speak) in inches. 1. 101" 2. 99.5" 3. 94.5" 4. 89.5" 5. 86". Think you can do better?? Participate and show us. The rules are simple. Go bass fishing, and if you deem your fish is worthy to brag about, then all you have to do is measure your fish, take a clear picture of the whole fish confirming the length on a measuring device. For example a ruler, tape measure, etc... The person with the longest 5 bass at the end of the month wins bragging rights. The beauty of this competition is, there are no entry fees, no prize money, just pure clean fun for bragging rights. You can fish from the bank, from a boat, from a yak, from canoe anywhere that it is legal to fish. [ Also, please make sure your fishing license's are up to date]. On a side note we also have big fish honors. That simply means we recognize the angler who has caught the biggest fish in the month. For that recognition you will need a scale and picture confirming the weight of your catch. When you take a pic of your catches you have up to 5 days to post those pictures on our forum. To avoid any misunderstandings on your post, please include the date of the catch. I will take care of the rest and track your catches and progress. I will post daily and weekly standings. Lastly, this competition is for fun and to share our experiences so the rest of us can learn from your catch. Any intentional acts to mislead or harm this competition is highly discouraged, and you will be disqualified for those actions. We are participating in a honest, and fair competition. Currently I fish with two brands. St. Croix and a Carbonlite. Legend tournament, Avid, and Rage.

I was all set to go out and probably cull one or two i hoped, but mother nature had other ideas. Went to the movies with the family, come out and its pouring. It eventually stopped but it was too late. Not enough daylight left. So unfortunately my November run is over too.

FSTR nice fish. It's been a while. Too bad you forgot the tape measure, you would have been top 5 for sure with that pair. Hope to see you competing in December.

Good luck to any one who is going out today. Today as we all know is the last day of Nov. I will post final numbers either tonight or tomorrow morning. Giving you heads up Dsidle... LOL.. Right after that I will be launching the December and last competition of the year.

I wanted to take a moment and make an announcement. December, will be my last month coordinating our monthly tournament. I am saying this with a bit of heavy heart, although it is the right decision at this time. I chose Thanksgiving to make this announcement, because I am very thankful that I had the opportunity to coordinate such a fun competition. I met a lot of new people by doing so, and made several friends in the process. Starting in January, another passion of mine kicks into high gear, and it comes in the form of High School coaching. My season will run til late April or early May. This commitment requires my full attention, and during this time I feel I will not be able to serve all of you to the fullest of my capabilities. I will remain has a competitor, and one of my goals is to beat AK, at least one time. LOL... I am stepping down for now, however I would love to return in May and continue where I left off. I welcome anyone, who would like to lead us for the New Year. Thanks again, for having me as your coordinator, you are all a great bunch of anglers and I had a blast. Czar, I documented your catch. You really had me going. I was expecting a couple of monster fish.

AK, documented your catch, that fish puts you at 101"

MCS, that 13.5" fish puts you at 86" which places you in 5th place!! You know what you need to cull. Good luck.

I wanted to take a moment and wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving. I know its early, but I do not know if any of you are travelling to see family and friends, and may not have a chance to check in. I know I have lot to be thankful for this year. May all of you be safe and enjoy the time with your families.

Mutt you have 2 18" fish to cull. Best of luck. You have to replace them with 20" fish to maybe secure. AK, has some big fish holes, he will go to to secure the win.

Dsidle, you moved to 83.5" which puts you in 6th place.

My two favorite brands are Booyah and LiveTarget. If I had to choose one, I would go with LiveTarget. Booyah's are good frogs with a nice price point. LiveTarget although $$ can take a pretty good beating before you have to retire them. Imho, frog fishing is the most exciting, explosive, and exhilarating technique for bass fishing. Once you get the hang of it, and know when to throw it, it will quickly become one of your favorite techniques.
