  1. AWESOME cats!! so how did you get those pics if you were by yourself?? timer on the camera? i always have issues with getting pics of me and my fish cause i fish alone a lot.
  2. i wish i had good news for you but i dont...those lakes/ponds are just not very good...beaver lake has been the best of the worst, with a couple decent bass taken. but lately all these lakes have just been turtle holes...lemme know if you figure anything out there.
  3. we used all artificials....mostly Stretch's and other big crankbaits...use a variety to test the different levels of the water column....in the morning we caught them all on topwater pencil plugs. 3 generators tuesday night, and only 1 wednesday morning...we were right up on the dam...tied off to one of the bays
  4. yea, this was a quick cleaning of the filets...i clean them up good before i cook them
  5. had to make a quick trip to pickwick....got in Tuesday night...fished from 7-10pm...3 of us...we limited out pretty quick...then fished again wednesday morning from 7-8:30 am...limited out real quick with some hogs!! then moved down river and caught a couple cats!! enjoy the pics!!
  6. never fished the Hatchie...and def did not know about stripers in herb......my local pond spots have all been very unproductive this year...been trying new places around collierville/germantown area...not too much luck to report. even been working the wolf river a little bit, but not too much luck....sorry no good info to share!!! but i'll keep ya posted if my local spots start producing!!
  7. no moss at all today...just the lily pads around the edges...the place intrigues me, there are definitely bass in there (i spooked at least 5-6 walking the bank), but they seem pretty skiddish, i guess it comes with the territory, 1 acre ponds.
  8. Hello my name is chris and i am a fishaholic....i have been at it for 28 years!! born and raised here in Memphis but lived in Charleston SC from 2002-2008, and Denver Co from 2008-2010...been back here in Memphis for a few years now... I started fishing when i was 0 years old...started fly fishing when i was 14 years old....i love fly fishing..but i still do my fair share of spin fishing...usually whatever it takes to get a tight line!! i target any and all kinds of fish with the my flyrod! Gar, Bass, Bream, Carp, Trout, Saltwater fish, etc....i also go to arkansas pretty regularly to hit the cold rivers. Catchin a bass on the fly rod is too fun for words, so thats what i try to do the most these days! So...years later, Im back in Memphis...i have found that most of my old go to ponds around town now suck...it seems some very hungry fisherman have depleted the ponds. found this forum when i was looking for some new spots...anybody got any advice, let me know... i practice C&R 99% of the time....1%= catching some bream or catfish....i throw all my bass back bc i want to catch them again after they keep growing...also, anybody that wants to go rip some lips with me, let me know. i have a crazy schedule, but we can make it work. tight lines and sore lips...... Chris p.s. enjoy some pics of my recent memphis catches.
  9. nice cats! may have to make a drive over the river from memphis!
  10. nice bass...that first one is a slob for sure!!! here piggy piggy!
  11. yea man just messin with ya, its a helluva bass!
  12. fished the day care pond today at dusk...no bites on a crawfish plastic or crankbait (spin setup)....no bites on a hopper dropper (fly setup)...but then right about dark, i tied on a big ole frog popper on the fly rod....no joke, first cast, that thing hit the water and got swallowed at the exact same time!!!! nice nice bass, took my drag out hard and went to the middle of the pond....and then it spit the hook! fished another 20 minutes with no action... but for first time there, it was a good 45 minutes of fishing, im gonna have to give that place a second shot!!!!!
  13. I need a scale like yours! haha, jk....nice fish, looks like a great day on the water...froggin for bass is my favorite!!!
