I called again yesterday their still hunting , i asked about me hunting the right carb & getting the right one , they said count the number of screws on the carb , does that sound right ?

The best i remember it was leaking , must of been very minor i was told its safe to run it. All i know is i was told i needed a carb & they can't find one new or old. I know they got one & said the screw pattern didn't match. They did a good job on my boat except that , it wouldn't idle & i took it back & we put it on the water & he found something wrong with the carb & said it can't be fixed. I would try to find one if i knew what i needed ,i can spend hrs looking for one & they can't. Is that ID number by the motor all i need. When i call and ask about the carb they tell me Ain't found one .

Does anyone know the proper way to measure Triton boat seats ? The easiest way is from the back its good & square , but then you have the sides of the seats & they bulge out from the padding . Measuring from top to bottom is the same problem , the middle of the seat is higher than the side & again I don't see no harm if you just keep it on the flat portion where the boat seats set . Any one have any advice, i sure would hate to order them & their the wrong size. GodBless & Thank's

I have a Johnson 1999 , 225 H/O, I have a bad carburetor's & the shop can't find one , new or old , reason they was only made 1 year i think. They've ordered a few used one's but they end up not fitting because of the hole pattern's. Anyone got a ideal how i might find one myself .My boat don't want a idle , make's loading hard i'm by myself & a steel plate in my back don't help . GodBless & Thank's for Your Help

Folks God has been run out of the United States , i'm glad to see so much about Pray on this site without us being band from this site. A friend of mine told me about using the trim on the big motor , i never would of thought of it , but i never forgot it. And yes falling in & sinking & having to swim back up to the top of the water is Very Scary ,Thank God i kelp my train of thought on what to do. Sounds like we aught to go fishing together & keep a eye on each other. I ve had 2 back surgery, bad knees,ive had the shots in my knees ,shots in my back & even tried stim cell shots in my knees, can't hardly bend over ,can't close either hand, I take 4 pain pills a day for my knees, and i sleep some but i take 2 prescription sleeping pills & 2 over the counter & drink 1 beer at night,i can't sleep at all without drinking 1 beer .Ive come to the point in my life that i think i'm meant to hurt. Sorry to hear were all broke down,ive always said if i was a horse they would shoot me. ive started to wonder if i should stop fishing but its all i got left,but one thing for sure i'll have that Auto Life Vest on .That Auto Life Vest is about the only thing ive bought for fishing that the wife didn't fuss about,but i did fall out of my boat & that didn't feel good. ThankGod were all still alive . Thanks for answering

Way2Slow You told me about SeaFoam before when i got my boat out of the shop last spring they added stuff to the gas to clean the motor & fuel system , i think it was Mercury Something & i added the sea foam so both are in the gas & the whole system.. Ive been talking to You about how hard my boat is to start , Johnson 225 HO ,what You told me to try didn't work , Trim the motor level is the best i can do if that matters. I'm gonna drag it to a Marine dealer & have them try to start it, cranking on it gets old i've been running it at home about a week, same thing everyday. GodBless & Thanks

I was wondering last summer i finally fell out of my boat, i have bad knees & they finally gave way on me. i bought a Auto LifeVest & now i wear it all the time. I'll be 63 in 9 days & i was wondering if other people my age was not as steady in the boat as they once was. I know i'm gonna be a lot more cautious than i have been , maybe not as many rods under my feet & hold on a lot more. I wanta Thank God He took care of me one more time . Getting Old Sucks . Agree 100 % Way2Slow Should i have the same problem starting it every day even if i let it run at home every day ? I ran it 5 days in a row for maybe 10 minutes & Sat was the hardest day i had starting it, but it always starts . Gonna try what You wrote me above. No way i can thank you for all Your Help. I have a 1999 Johnson 225 HO , with carburators ,my boat is extremely hard to start , does how you trim your motor up & down have anything to do with how it starts ? I have my motor trimed about level i'm at home so level is the best i can do. I pump my bulb to firm,not to hard to over do, i turn my key right & push the key in several times & try to start it.I keep going over & over untill it starts, it took me about 15 minutes to start it today. Here's the thing,once it starts you can turn it on &off over & over & it starts first time &every time.Ive been starting it ever day for about 5 days now & it don't seen to help.I guess it needs a good hard run but i had back surgery 5 weeks ago, i don't want a take a chance on hurting my back putting it on the water. What is a good average grade of boat carpet , money is tight , and my boat is out of the weather , but i don't wanta go real cheap, i wanta good carpet ?
