  1. Go to Basspro.com. In the middle of their home page there is a store circular showing their Black Friday sales. Just pick the location nearest you and you are set.
  2. Storm Arashi Square bills I did really well on these the last few times out. I am looking forward to fishing the flat 7 and the deep models next year.
  3. Mine as of this past weekend is the Storm Arashi square bill in the black silver shad color. Caught a 4lb bass on my 5th cast.

    Pb Buck

    Congrats on the nice buck!!!!!
  5. I was at Melvern on Sunday with my father in law. We tried fishing the dam in the morning but only caught 2 small smallmouth on it. When we tried again later in the day the wind was blowing so bad it was hard to fish it. Our best area was the marina cove. We caught smallmouth, spots and whites on squarebills and some little spinner type bait with a white grub on it. My father in law caught a really nice 15" spot that was really chunky.
  6. That's good to know about the marina area. Thank you
  7. Heading out to Melvern in the morning with my father in law. We are planning on being there around 7:30 and hoping for a good day. I think we are going to stick close to the dam most of the day. Probably fish some around the marina are and in the cove north of the east boat ramp. Did anyone have any luck on topwater? Would you guys suggest starting out at the dam or in the cove by the east ramp? Thank you
  8. Were you guys fishing the banks or trying to stay farther out? Thank you guys for all the information so far.
  9. What were the white bass biting? I wouldn't mind getting into a mess of those
  10. Are the coves north of the Eisenhower Park ramp worth fishing? We have decided to venture out there for sure this Sunday. I plan on fishing the dam and the area around the marina. Looking for some more places to try. Hoping to put my father in law on his first smallmouth bass :-)
  11. So what types of lures worked the best out there today? I am thinking of heading out there this weekend with my father in law and was looking for some extra info. Was the dam the best spot today? I have only been out there once and mainly stayed there. Any help you can give will be appreciated.
  12. I have 4 of them that have been used for over a year now. I haven't had any problems at all with mine.
  13. I use Gammys for this same reason.
  14. I use the standard size one that is 4 inches long. I have been using it with a 3/0 hook and a 1/4 oz weight and doing really well.
  15. I just switched to these for the same reason. I used them for the first time last weekend and was very impressed. I like the Okeechobee craw and the sprayed grass color they offer.
  16. Of those 2 choices I would take the 7mm Mag. I had one before when I hunted and it was by far the best rifle I have ever owned. The only downside to it is that the ammo cost more than the 30-06.
  17. I have 4 of the Veritas rods and love them. I would highly recommend them. I have not used the other 2 you mentioned. The *** rods are getting a good following on here and have heard nothing but good things about them. I think any of the 3 you mentioned would be good. I would go with the MH for sure.
  18. Have you ever sat down with the landowner and explained your side of the story? Maybe if you sat down with them and asked for their blessing then you wouldn't have to worry about getting the law involved.
  19. Out of that group I would choose the Pro Qualifier. The gear ratio would depend on what you want to do with the reel but a good all around gear ratio would be the 6.4-1.
  20. I have a 6'9" and the 7' MH rods with the micro guides that I use to fish soft plastics. I can pitch them or cast them without any problems. I don't fish when it is cold enough to ice up the guides so I can't help with that.
  21. I prefer a black buzzbait anytime I am throwing one. I prefer the Cavitron brand with a black skirt and a black blade on it.
  22. here you go http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/forum-2/announcement-9-bassresource-hats-jerseys-decals-and-more/
  23. Casey Martin just used one to win the FLW on Lake Chickamauga. It says he used a 5 arm model with 3 hooked baits and 10 teaser baits!!!!
