I have the 6'9" MH micro guide rod. I have only had it a few weeks and I love it!!! I mainly use it for soft plastics but it does pretty well with shallow cranks and spinnerbaits for me. I will be buying more of these rods!!!!!
Thank you!!! I will get with my father in law and see what we can come up with. Are any of these good to fish with these temps we are stuck with? Any tips or honey holes you care to share?
Kyle
Where's the best place to find a mess of smallmouth around here? Would love to go to a lake and catch a few. With my scale I may be able to catch a few 5lbers!!!!! :eyebrows:

Check out this thread to see how to remove a deep hook.
I am wanting to spend a day trying to catch some smallmouth. I have only caught 2 and they were at Coffee County Lake in the winter time. I would like to find a place that my father in law and I can catch some.
Any advice, tips... etc would be appreciated.
Thanks
Kyle
I caught it at Watkins Mill State Park. Was in about 10' of water buried in some nasty type of grass. Other than that one we caught a few small ones and that was it.
Got this one this morning on a 10" motoroil colored powerbait worm. The scale read 4.7lbs but I think it is off a little. I think it was more in the 3lb class.
I have a 6'9" MH veritas for my lews reel and love it. I mainly use it to throw t-rig plastics, but will use it for shallow crankbaits and spinnerbaits. I have mine spooled with 14lb stren.
Clifford Pirch travels with his family, and after trying everything from a double-decker trailer to two trucks, he’s found that renting a U-Haul is the most cost-effective means of getting himself to the ramp without bringing the whole gang.
this was in the photos from the first day at the tournament.
Take a look at this thread to set up the reel properly. I haven't had any issues with mine.

Hope this helps!!!
Check out archerytalk.com Anything and everything you could imagine about bows and bowhunting on there.
I would suggest buying a ground blind to hunt from. Very roomy and you can get away with a little movement.
I haven't seen the blue max combo before but I do have 1 black max and 3 of the silver max combos and they have all been good to me. I know they aren't the best in the business but they work for me. I have 3 of them with 14lb mono and one with 50lb braid. So far they have handled everything I have thrown at them.
I have never tried the Carbonlite rod but recently picked up a 6'9" MH Veritas with micro guides. I got to use it for the first time today and was very impressed with it. I think either way you would be getting a good rod!!
