  1. I moved to the thumb of michigan area (ubly) a year ago and haven't had a boat in 5 years but ordering my new boat and looking for a bass club around the area.
  2. Thanks for the feedback. I love the action of the strike king hard baits from the square bill, to driving cranks, and jerkbaits but feel like the hooks should be better quality and I think they use the VMC hooks and I dont think there treble hooks are good quality at all. I feel like when you buy a bait and spend let's say $7 or more you shouldn't have to replace the hooks and it seems like yall have narrowed it down to 3. Megabass, lucky craft, and 6th sense for me and thanks for the feedback.
  3. Hey there fellow anglers its Mike here been a while since I've posted. I know that when it comes to hard baits we all probably prefer one or a couple brands over others but my question is if you where to buy one brand of hard baits which brand comes with the best quality hooks and rings? Heard the 6th sense and megabass come with overall good quality hooks just wanted some insight on this.
  4. Not yet won't have the boat for 2 weeks but will be like this one. This is the 160 model and I ordered the 170 model
  5. Just purchased a 2017 G3 eagle 170 PFX stick steer with a 70hp Yamaha four stroke. Been going back and forth on buying a bass boat or a stick steer boat and since I like going frogging from time to time and believing that I can bass fish out of a stick steer boat I think I will be pleased with the purchase. The dealer said the boat should arrive in 2 weeks or less. I'm stoked to be a boat owner again!!!!
  6. I'm thinking about buying a new ranger in the spring and I've always liked ranger boats but never considered one because I had a 2005 triton tr186dc with a 175 hp Yamaha but since it's sold I think I want a ranger z518 or a new model for 2017 z185. The reason for selling the triton was storage, on the front deck behind the seat there was storage but the lid was just to small and it was a pain. I like the layout of the ranger but want some insight on other ranger owners and know if others ran into this problem and if ranger is as great of a boat as I hear?
  7. Never really thought about a gheenoe. I'm gonna check them out thou.
  8. Thanks for the input. Y'all named a few boats I previously didn't look at. Thanks again
  9. I just sold my 2005 triton tr186 with a 175hp and the cost of the boat plus gas to run it became to much also to mention I decided to down grade from a full size truck to a midsize 4x4 truck(Tacoma 4x4 v6). At the beginning of next year I plan on buying a 16ft steer stick boat and I just wanted to see what the bassresource family thought. I've checked out the basstracker stick steer with a 25hp for $11k but I don't think I will be happy with that size motor I was thinking atleast a 40hp. I was thinking of buying new so I could get it financed for the max. Just need some options thanks

  12. I love powerpro super slick 8
  13. I thought I put it in this section and didn't realize it was in the rod and reel section. Thanks man
  14. when fishing a trap/lipless crankbait do you prefer fluorocarbon or braid? what line size?
  15. I was wanting to know you y'all use braid or fluorocarbon when fishing a lipless crankbait. Never really used this technique but plan on trying it this weekend with a red eye shad.
