  1. So I want this, the 6 lb test 0.263? http://www.basspro.c.../10205251/67393 I'll call up Gander Mountain and Walmart to see if they sell it. Does it have good casting range?
  2. The line I'm using is 10lbs Berkley Clear, like this, same thing, same green label except it's Clear not blue. Should I switch to a 6 or 8 lb line? I think I'm using a Shimano 2500 spinning reel, kind of looks like this, but it has the easy cast switch thing that you pull with your index finger like this.
  3. Should I use a different kind of line? If so, which kind?
  4. I absolutely LOVE topwater. It's such a rush when they hit the lure, it's awesome. I catch all my fish on Rapala Shallow Shad Rap's. Shad color. Obviously it's not weedless, but I love it. I've been trying Zoom Super Flukes, having no luck at all using texas rig, weightless on #4 hook... It's rated 4.9 of 5 stars with 235 reviews. I haven't had one bite. I've tried the Pearl White, Watermelon Seed, and Arkansas Shiner. Mostly Watermelon.
  5. Left my rods in the boat and went out in the afternoon and my line was all circling like crazy, is there any way to prevent that and make it cast straight line? I heard some people use something for the line(liquid?), what does that do?
  6. Thanks for the fast reply. I always make sure it has tension before reeling it, I use my other hand to make tension if needed. I think I have a quarter inch not filled on the reel. I usually always close the bail by reeling it in, I will stop and hopefully it will stop the loops. Thanks again.
  7. Hi, I'm new to the forum and I have a question. I have a spinning reel my dad bought brand new from his boss for $10 each (we have 3 or 4), retail costs I think $59. At least once a day on the lake when casting, it takes the wrong thread from the reel or whatever and makes a loop near the bail and I have to keep pulling the line until I get to where the loop is supposed to be, then untangle if it knots up, then reel it all back in. Is there anything I can do to prevent this? I'm using 10lb line. I just put this line on about a month ago, after having to cut off a bunch of my previous line because the loop.
