  1. Oh, it doesn't do jack when you turn the ignition. I checked to make sure it wasn't locked up with a socket ratchet. Tried bypassing the ignition and the positive near the battery would smoke. pretty sure the starter is no good, took it out and grounded it and ran the power directly to it and smoke near the battery again.
  2. Yessir!! It's rainy today but next, we will rid of the rest of the cushions, rip up the carpet and wood. I want to put a pedestal on the front like a Bass Boat and maybe find a way to throw a trolling motor and foot pedal on there, put all new swivel seats etc. We tried starting the motor but it didn't do anything. Motor turns, starter is bad.
  3. So there was a post on Marketplace of a free boat. I went and got it quick. Due to the situation of the buyer etc, I did not receive a title/registration for anything, trailer has no tags etc. I will be over there soon with a 'Change in Status of a Numbered Vessel' form. I didn't know what year it was so I checked the HIN and noticed it had a recall for 'LEVEL FLOTATION' but no information (Check this Link for the recall details) Does anybody know what I should look for to fix this recall? Here are some pictures. More pictures
  4. Yup. This has happened to me while I was using a jig. When I finally realized what was happening, it was too late and had a failed hook set. I guess that's what they mean by pay close attention to your line and unfamiliar/awkward feelings means you got a fish.
  5. I use 3/8 oz. I have 1/4 oz but I don't use them because the 3/8 is producing nice fish. Some time I would like to try a 1/2 or 1oz to see if I get any bigger fish but maybe next year.
  6. NSCB jig with Rage Craw, or, if I only had like 10-20 minutes, I'd probably start with topwater, Rapala Shallow Shad Rap. It also depends on what time it is. Bass usually slam top water during 6-8 AM where I fish.

  8. Now you should make up a top that latches on with a handle on top for easy carrying!
  9. Make sure you try some crankbaits and spinnerbaits.
  10. I like that first one. Good job.
  11. I got my senko o-wacky tool or whatever yesterday. . It said made in USA on the back
  12. dude is very annoying I'd probably hit shore to grab a rock and throw it at him..
  13. That'll be good too!
  14. There has been like 5 posts (including one being my own) in the rod forums in the past 2 days asking what spinning rod to buy. 3 were for senko rods. I think it will be a really good addition to this website.
  15. Is it possible to make a reviews forum with the subforums Product Reviews - Rods - Reels - Plastics - Hard Baits So the members of Bass Resource can write about their new purchases. I think this will help the clutter a little. Just a suggestion! It would also be nice to read reviews of lures by the BR members with some nice pictures. Although I think that's what the Fishing Reports has been for.
  16. I'll probably try out the Owner wacky hook. $6.88 from Sears. Here are some to look at. A lot of people prefer a 2/0 or 3/0. I'm going to use the 2/0. Owner® Weedless Wacky Hooks - Model 5172 http://www.basspro.com/Owner-Weedless-Wacky-Hooks-Model-5172/product/97831/ SALE Eagle Claw® Lazer Sharp® Wacky Worm Hooks - Model L097BP http://www.basspro.com/Eagle-Claw-Lazer-Sharp-Wacky-Worm-Hooks-Model-L097BP/product/103720/ NEW SALE Lazer TroKar® Weedless Wacky Worm Hooks http://www.basspro.com/Lazer-TroKar-Weedless-Wacky-Worm-Hooks/product/12051808143526/
  17. I also love PayPal's Bill Me Later. Wonderful service to buy my fishing supplies while I await my check from work.
  18. Found a new one on ebay for $89 free shipping. I love saving money.
  19. There are some bad reviews on the Crucial. I think I will go with the CPS68MC Medium 6'8".
  20. Is the St Croix and Crucial better than the Compre and Clarus? I think I will spend at most $200.
  21. NorthStar Flip & Swim jigs. I love the Kentucky Bluegrass 3/8oz paired with a pumpkin color Rage Craw or Netbait Craw. I only started jigs last year and I'm so confident in this lure that it's about the only thing I use. I rarely touch my prior "go to" lures. I also use JJ's magic on the trailers. Not entirely sure that it produces more. I will be trying Megastrike this season.
  22. Or maybe a G Loomis GL2 jig & worm.. medium or medhvy? http://www.basspro.com/G-Loomis-GL2-Jig-&-Worm-Series-Spinning-Rods/product/110902/ Or a phenix rod?? I'm liking the GL2.
  23. Anyone have this Quantum EXO PT? http://www.basspro.com/Quantum-EXO-PT-Spinning-Rods/product/1112150501134/
  24. Lew's Speed Spin Spinning Reel. Particularly model SS300a (180/10, 9.8oz) I think I want a 6'3" - 6'6" MH fast tip rod just for Senkos. What rods do you guys recommend? I want a fast tip with a pretty good backbone and I want to be able to feel the bite real good! I am thinking Yozuri 12lb fluro nylon hybrid in Camo Green color. I also have Yozuri 6# hybrid clear. http://www.basspro.com/Fishing-Fishing-Rods-Spinning-Rods/Length-6-3/Length-6-6/Species-Bass/product-review-avg-rating-range-5/_/N-1z0uxb1Z1z0w84yZ1z0w85yZ1z0xf0cZp
