  1. It won't hurt the rod at all, it just won't cast as far as you would like.
  2. Any one know a very large tackle bag? I have a big tackle box that has three trays on each side and the bottom part of the box can hold two 3500 boxes and a smaller box (I couldn't find the model) ,but it is so heavy and bulky. So I'd rather have a tacke bag ,but it has to be pretty big. Suggestions? Thanks in advance!
  3. My new finesse set up I got for Christmas, is a Abu Garcia Cardinal 101 ($40.00) paired with a Berkley Lightning Rod Shock medium 6 foot ($40.00). I haven't tried it out yet, but its my finesse rod for 2013.
  4. I love rigging this as a Swimbait and as a Texas Rig. I just love the action of this bait. It was really well designed.
  5. I like to throw the DarkStar Swimmer, it hasn't come out officially one their website (evolvebaits.com). You can get them from overstockbait.com. Trigger X makes some good soft plastic jerkbaits too.
  6. Normans are some of the other cranks I throw. I also throw bomber and h2o express all good cranks.
  7. I love Bomber where did you get them?
  8. I'm getting a Powell Diesel for Christmas for Froggin' I can't wait to get it! All I have heard about it is great things!
  9. I have a question about the rig. Is the bullet weight on your line? I might of misunderstood how you rigged it!
  10. Looks so awesome!
  11. I went on Abu's website too a couple days ago, I couldn't find them either. Yes the Revo S is awesome! You can get them on *** however, no they are not discontinued. Gen 3 is the latest, and in my opinion magnetic breaking system is better for beginners then again I like centrifical breaking system. After awhile i started to like them both breaking systems, some reels have them together in one reel. And how to set a Baitcaster's breaking system: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/adjust-baitcasting-baitcaster.html When casting a Baitcaster: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/how-to-cast-baitcast.html If you fish heavy cover slop, mats, grass, weeds, etc. You'd want it thicker near the reel seat, line weight is what pound test a line can "properly" handle. I sometimes go over the limit, haha. Lure weight is what the rod can cast with "ease" I go over this sometimes too. Power means means the action of the rod or the how easy it can handle cover/fish/lures. I started with Abu Garcia caught my PB with them, when I just started using Baitcasters. Hoped I helped!
  12. Well thanks for sharing! Im getting a flippin rod for Christmas, so this will be the rig I tie on first!
  13. He did say it stood straight up and digs on the bottom. Maybe the "Diggin' Rig?"
  14. It looks like an AWESOME rig! Mind if I use it for fishing? Maybe some of us can help you with a name.
  15. I like them in all colors especially Chartruesse Shad, Pearl, Red Craw Chartruesse and sexy sunfish. To hard to pick which one i like the best!
  16. Revo S is $130 brand new. But check out what Arv has you might find a good deal.
  17. VinnieT, worm binders are like a "photo sleeves" except for worms. You can get them at Bass Pro Shops online or Tackle warehouse. It's like having a bunch of clear soft plastic bags in like say a notebook.
  18. Well it depends on what you fish with: Crankbaits, worms, jigs, spinnerbaits etc. If you say say if you buy a Revo S the gear ratio (which is 6:4.1) is meant in my opinion for crankbaits and spinnerbaits you would want a 6 foot 6 in rod action Medium to a Meadium heavy action. If you throw: frogs, jigs, plastics you want a 7:1.1 reel. I can't remember which revo has a 7:1.1 GR, and you want a 7 foot rod or bigger it just depends on what you fish with. Some people have different preferences on GR (gear ratios) and actions of rods. PM me if you have any questions, hope this helps!
  19. I have a Abu Garcia Pro Max in 7:1.1 on a 7 ft MH myself works good, if I say so my self. It costs $85.00.
  20. Dobyn's, but preference usually wins.
  21. KVD said himself that he thinks it increases strikes and I also agree with DarrenM. I have a few Cranks that came with the red hooks. I think they look good and have a better presentation than regular hooks.
  22. I wonder too why they are SO expensive it's bad enough some are $30-$50. But $385 I'd be afraid to cast that one in to a pond, river, lake, (etc).
  23. From what I have heard the St. Croix rage is awesome. I'd go with the deal Diggy mentioned that's a hard deal to pass up, unless you don't have the money.
  24. Pm me if your gonna sell the Kistlers. I've been looking into a Kistler rod.
