Keep them in original bags then place the bags in a Tupperware container that's flat enough to fit in my pack with my small tackle box. I'm a shorefisher btw
Personally I almost exclusively wacky rig worms on a dropshot. Weedless t-rig with/without weight or Carolina rig all senkos, swimming senkos, lizards and creature types.
When I can't get a them to bite on the nests I will tie on a white rooster tail and slowly drag it in to the nest area. You will def get snagged a lot but the male bass just can't seem to help but bite something so small and non threating. Also jiggle it wildly but try to keep it in the same spot seems to turn them more aggressive.
As was said before don't cast directly on nest the fish will spook plus you may just find the female lurking close by aswell. I got a nice female trying to drag a creature bait into nest about 10 feet from target
Welcome. I'm new to bass fishing and this forum and have already learned a lot in a few days. Got tips on good lakes near me to fish aswell. BR members are the bomb!
My tackle box still has some empty spots so my options are limited but I change up about every 30 min of no action. I've read this is a good amount of time but I think once I get more lures to try out i might go with 15 min or less.
I'm from San Jose. So far I've only fished a halls valley lake and almeden lake. Ive heard calero and Lexington resivour are good fishing spots too. Any other spots u could recommend not to far from the bay area would b appreciated. Also any Cali groups here? Still new to this site
I'm new to bass fishing so I've been researching online and have found good info on BR many times. So I said what the hell I should join. Looking forward to learning from all the experienced fishermen here.
