  1. No it's shee-man-O's new logo lol
  2. So for the righties using lefties where are your hands when u cast and then palm? Since I cast right I have index finger on the trigger, swap hands to palm with hand around handle and thumb on spool. When I palm I have my little finger against the trigger and hand around the reel. So do y'all cast from a palm or have to adjust to a palm position once finished casting?
  3. STI and Kimber are two of the best out there. I would love to own either one.

  6. I hate it too! That is why after 1 yr in Va and a blizzard We moved back down south!!! I tell my wife SC is as far north I will go even that is too cold in the winter, but at least no snow.
  7. Just to give u the idea, not arguing, U switch while the lure is in the air. Even pitching....kinda like turning a double play, except opposite right to left vs left to right.
  8. I bet y'all had all that snow this winter. This beginning of summer for us just hasn't yielded the daily thunderstorms as usual in longevity or number. Lots of the ponds are high 80's and stagnent. Gar and cats at the shore bass hunkered down. I agree Darren some rain would be welcome but keep the damaging winds away!
  9. Few counter points. U fish for fun not money, same here. But I was speaking on the design intention of a b/c which why they were primarily designed right hand, to winch the fish in easy and probably as fishings *** wasnt for fun like us now it was food and later on competiton. I tighten my drag like I do on my spinning rods a good firm pull, I too enjoy fighting a fish and dont horse them in. I never in my life heard of the three pound rule seems asinine considering everyone is blowing their load on the 13' fishing with 22 pounds max drag. Spinning reel drag tends to engage much easier than casting in my experience. And perhaps I set mine a little lighter due to me using lighter line.
  10. Megabass_Zonda68Hedgehog......But if your looking for mainstream Zillion. Everyone loves the zillion palms nice and built like a tank.
  11. Tanaka....I gotta go with King Felix....But I agree else wise.....
  12. I like the braids that you can feel the "thread" like Power Pro or Stren. If your not in super heavy cover or pads, 40 or 50 pound would be fine to use as well. If you can spool the braid with some tension and get it on nice and tight then it digs less. I haven't ever had a problem using the two mention even as small as 30 and it digging on a regular basis, maybe after pulling a snag loose but after a cast or two it is good as new.
  13. I am right handed, reel a spinning reel with my left and a casting reel with my right as it should be. With a spinning setup the rod and drag play a major part in landing a fish. Hence the rod is controlled with the dominant hand. With a casting rod, not so much as it is effectively a winch. My strong hand, right hand, to reel the fish in easier. It switching hands becomes second nature, even pitching. I have only been doing this for a little over a year can switch hands faster than most of you nancy boys with your lefty reel and left hand hanging by your side with you cast the rod right handed. Keep telling yourself you cannot do it or it is easier one way and it becomes so. This no coincidence lefty reels are offered less by manufacturers, where as the majority of the world is right handed.
  14. You got it. Look for the same situations in ponds. The cool and cover of the shadows is where they will be near the freeways for bait fish.
  15. Dunno man, but there is pleanty of salt/inshore down that way. I fished out of anistasia park, vilano pier, vilano side of the inlet. Guana Lake dam.........other than that I can't help you unless u come north. But right now bass fishing is in dog days of summer mode better off hitting the salt. But if you see a pond that looks worthy with no posted "no fishing signs" try hollow body frogs, u vibe to get started. you should find out if there is bass in the pond quick that way.
  16. I wouldn't call it a negative impact. These ponds and lakes need water and a good flushing. Plus the tropical storms have turned the big girls on in the past. I welcome the rain. Bring it on!!!
  17. There is an article about fishing a 10" worm in this months bass master. It was an interesting read. I fish these alot, 10-13" ribbon tails. Trigged and working a slow drag or a few hops and let it sit a while. The best results are letting it sit 20-30 a minute between hops or move a little and sit. I hear a lot of other folks swim them or work on a c-rig and I found this far less effective and smaller fish too boot. I fish them any time I feel like it, you gotta slow down and prepare for a potential skunk but realize you doing a specific technique to target quality fish.
  18. Right on! Those jumps are like a thrill ride, get your heart racing everytime!!!
  19. Good looking fish dude. So what are the details? Weight? Length? Lure?
  20. Philly as reached and all new low. Sorry Fly, time start cheering for the marlins lol
  21. Yeah man give me a pitchers duel with some nasty Ks and stellar defense any day. Anyone see Jesse Hahn pitch for is it minn or Pitt? I hear he throws a pretty nasty 12-6 curve 30-40% of the pitches he throws!!! Altuve hit .500 for the week with 10 steals!
  22. Great fish, cool story. Love the sound of drag being stripped.
  23. They are some great looking ponds on 95 from Jax to Daytona, however I am with snook and Lou. I rather not put myself or anyone else in danger nor deal with the highway patrol. They have more important things to deal with than chasing a fisherman away from a pond.
  24. Thanks bud it was a great time.Man me and my dad were talking these kids at advanced A level played harder than the double A suns or major league.
