  1. 10" worms dragging or a sweep and sit retrieve, topwater early or late. I stay away from fishing in the mid day. 5-8 am and 5-9 pm are my times
  2. KaRu Vibrashocks and poison jigs, Gambler Burner craws and the good ol 10" worm.
  3. Nice blade, love my Izula 2.
  4. I hear from folks the alphas SV is the bees knees, my plan was to always buy one but I bought another reel instead. This is my next reel for sure.
  5. Gambler Mega Daddy, Gambler Burner Craw, and the best is Gambler BB Cricket. Also like the Missile Baits Missile Craw and Net Bait Paca Punch and Chunk.
  6. I got on here to late to chime in. I have made two orders from them, you will get your stuff in a week. That is were I picked up my xt 1000 and pop x. They have good prices on lures too.....another place to check out is japan angler.
  7. For this check out the veracity it is a step up from the veritas. Have a 6-9 MH/F light, sensitive and stout for good hooksets. I throw mainly 3/16 to 3/8 t-rigs. But go as low as 1/8 oz and big as 1/2 oz casting. Pitching 3/4 oz no problem. Talk to Ron at valley sports for the reel, and either of the rods. He can hook it up on a combo dealy.
  8. ebay or japanese tackle shops. 13 bucks and shipping will vary 6-12 bucks(I mean you pay 4-6 bucks for TW order). but IMO japan lure shop, ichiban or japan angler are better than ebay because the shipping is EMS and to my door in 5 days some of the auctions take a couple weeks to get to you. If you look at the top of the jpangler and japan lure shop pages there is a currency choice to get it in usd. ichiban is in usd and they have them as low as 11.95
  9. Got one a few weeks back. I agree, thing just flat out catches fish and you can find them online around 13 bucks a lure which isn't too bad.
  10. loved pop-r's until I fished a megabass pop-x. worth it, try one
  11. That is sad to hear. I just stumbled across these picking up my first JDM reel. I am a fan of ribbon tail worms and decided to pick some up, I really like the thick body with the hook slot it is a great design I haven't fished them much. I saw the 6" grubs in the pro blue/watermelon color. Deps colors are very good too. Thanks for the info I may need to stock up myself.
  12. Nice, I have some of the deathadder jumbo curly I need to try out.
  13. Hardbaits yes, plastics no. Bill Norman speed clips are good, or plain snaps....skip the swivels.
  14. My vote would be look online (pm me) and you can get a scorpion xt 1000 nib to your door for under 200. I was casting 1/8 texas rigs with a 5" finesse worm no problems. If you can find in stock the daiwa alphas SV can get them around 200.
  15. I am late to the party, but the champ 734 is a great spinnerbait/swimjig rod. I loved throwing SBs with it, I love throwing texas rigs even more though and sold it. You will enjoy that rod for the purpose you bought it for.
  16. This ^^^ right here.
  17. Huh? I am confused. I thought you just pm'd me that it was caught in a cast net at one of my spot I never fished?
  18. Kinda cool chance at a triple crown.
  19. The track is soup, any body's race!!! Money on Stevens. He has two wins in the slop.
  20. Like Callahan and his horse to win it Go Firing Line!
  21. You can find the daiwa aird http://www.tackletour.com/reviewdaiwaairdcasting.html or exceler down at that range new(look ebay, redsgear), or the older model exceler with mag force z is nib around 40-50 off ebay.
  22. Sweet reel, I am sure you seen the SLP works kit for it, that drag star is awesome.
  23. This thread is the only reason I come to this site LOL
