  1. I would jump all over the ballistic for 113! but if you chose to go budget minded the old model of the exceler is at cabelas and another site for 49 and 55 bucks respectively. I just picked one up. cast it a little this morning cant beat an alum frame reel at that price. Also cabelas prodigy reels are on sale because they are daiwas in cabelas clothing. The afore mentioned curado g will be 89.99 at gander mountain. They also have old reel trade in might be able to get something else on your list for a few bucks off checkout their flyer.
  2. Fat tire...you happen to try their winter beer...accumulation? I love that! Shipyard makes some good stuff, old thumper, IPA, bad monkey, black IPA....Sierra like torpedo, but like ruthless rye better, big foot barley wine is good too. Stone brewing, Full sail, intuition ale works, sweet water all good stuff too! Oh and that batch 19 Coors is a sleeper! Try it, good ol fashion American beer like yuengling.
  3. What mjseverson said good reel for 70 bucks. But ask yourself why was it 70 bucks sounds like BPS put someone's return or exchange or floor model up for sale. I would definitely take it back to BPS.
  4. Thanks I pass it along to my buddy.
  5. I have used war eagle, BPS and academy's H2o brand. War eagles weight heads tended to get nicked up but they have nicecskirts and cool colors. bps was solid so has the h2o but the finish chipped. You could try terminator titanium. I also been eyeing the strike king pro in bluegill. Also look at fat sack tackle and seibert outdoors. I think in all honesty ordering from someone like seibert or a smaller builder that has a decent following will get you the best quality. Only reason I don't is because I want multiple items etc and I don't want to pay shipping on just one type bait. Then order the rest and pay again.
  6. Right now I have a president XT 40 for my inshore/bass. But those smoke inshores are sweeeeet if I could I would grab one. nice combo, enjoy it!
  7. I own a president, president XT and Templar. Pflueger makes a great spinning reel. Best sub 100 dollar on market. Rivals more expensive reels out there.
  8. Happens to me all the time. It is the breaks, but days when the early bit is on makes up for it.
  9. I just picked the old one up for 44 bucks. Figured I could beat a deal like that. It will be my no 2reel/sons when we go out. So you like it good huh?
  10. Most the beds I am seeing up here are up tight on cover just like Pz said but the fish on them are small 1-2 maybe 3 pounds and spook real easy.
  11. MCS

    Hook Size

3/0 EWG for the soft jerkbaits and 2/0 or 3/0 EWG depending for senko, I used both sizes for 4" senkos. 1/0 wacky for the senkos. Also nose hooking the fluke with a wacky hook give a good action too.
  12. Seriously black is a great all around color, red bug and red shad, yellow worms are good for top water and white flukes and craws work well too.
  13. Is that the one by invanhoe exit when you come into orlando on 4 from the east?
  14. X2 I know some people look and say there are other big name baits that may look the same but it is the color, plastic with pork and salt and price that make them one of my top bait companies.
  15. Red, yellow, black.....white....GO TERPS
  16. *** is having a 25% you can get loomis rep samples for 150 and some high end shimano for around 200
  17. 10# sufix seige unless cover of fish size dictate I need 30# braid
  18. My buddy at work said something about it but he didnt go. Curious to hear how it was
  19. Hahahaha it was a good month
  20. Oh it's that one...you had to bring up that beat me...ouch! Lol
  21. It always sucks when you pull a nice one out and you have no way to get a good pic, or no scale. I had one I am sure over 7 just like that a pic of the stretch Armstrong. Did you get a weight on that Lou?
  22. Nice fish Lou! Spinnerbaits are fun
  23. Sounds like a plan
  24. Jman is giving up all the good stuff today! I use leaders, mono, when I want to retie a lot as it saves braid or when I throw popr or jerk baits. But my mono isn't strong enough for jigs etc on the braid. And look this way D I would do two BC and one spinning. Keep the spinner for poprs and hard baits and weightless plastics then one BC for frogs/jigs and one for plastics/spinnerbaits. I just ordered my second casting setup. And this is how I plan to roll for the time being. Until that monkey get on my back lol
