  1. Yep it was the first braid I tried, guy at bps told me try it it is cheap if you like it get better stuff. I hated it, very bad line, so how would I ever try anything else? Lol lucky I did and braid is not bad if you get decent stuff.
  2. I appreciate your help and insight Brian thanks
  3. 3/8 to 3/4 oz spinnerbaits most of the time 1/2, 1/4 to 3/4 oz Texas rigs with 10" worms, big creatures etc.,1/2 to 3/4 jigs plus trailers. Guess nothing super big but larger than 1/16, 1/8 and 1/4 trigs and finesse type jigs I have a rod that covers those. It depends I fish from shore but like a long cast and hook set out of a rod. Most areas trees are not and issue(except that one that snagged my popmax).
  4. Grande bass rattlesnake, ribbon tail worm, trick worm
  5. They just brought it back you can even get it in bulk. Gotta go to their "factory" website and order there.
  6. Motodmast that post helped a lot I am looking for two rods to do exactly what you mentioned. Other than length is there any advantages one over the other 704 vs 734? Big spinnerbaits and Texas rigs are the name of my game. I am sold on the cranking rods I hear so many great things about them.
  7. Awesome fish, congrats. What you hook it on?
  8. Bb crickets, 7 & 10 ribbon tails, EZs, paddle tail worm, burner worm, flappin shad. Baits come scented. Honestly quality stuff worth the money
  9. Yeah you can throw a lipless or topwater almost anytime of yr and catch something if you vary retrieve, location and time of day you throw it. lol but Pz is correct watch and you will figure out
  10. Yeah sure Lou you got a hundred fish just like you had some monster on the other day ....blasted lime rock You better get back to fishing for nothing
  11. Used to fish out in chesapeake/north beach, down in solomons island....proper name for the fish in MD is rockfish. I never heard striper until I met people from the NE. lol Maybe jigfishn will see this, I hear he has caught a few he knows the baits that will get them all rialed up.
  12. I still got my cardinal combos my dad got my brother and me 25 yrs ago and they still work too. My son asked to try it, I set it up almost idiot proof he does get much distance but he thinks he is doing it. Lol I agree casters and thumbing are hard concepts but I like that he is excited to try it.
  13. Mitchell also sells some reasonably priced spinning reels/combos.
  14. My 7 yr old uses a pflueger president 20 no prob. And I just started him out on a BC, daiwa exceler. My other son is younger still throwing those snoopy spin caster. He doesnt like spinning gear. But there are very mice spin casts made by pflueger, daiwa and zebco if you go that route.
  15. These reels look awesome no doubt. Deffinately interesting some of the tweaks. The hybrids are cool.
  16. I was wondering some of these reels look like "trailer queens" of the hot rod world. I wondered myself if y'all took em out for a spin time to time. Lol

  22. Not a sniff this morning, tried to get in before the front. Just had a Big EZ with me and not a lot of time.
  23. Oh so now you the one that is being stalked......sounds fishy to me.....zooming in it kinda looks like Martin at the wheel.....better grow eyes in the back of your head....sleep with one eye open.....lol
  24. I wondered what type the one I have was, I know my son has a catch five in 808, this twitch bait is a series III S7MR in CHBL. These two are my first experience with the lures, my son saw a flats class with them using the 808 color and had to have one lol. I will be getting more.On a side note snook I saw your rod thread, I am looking at longer rods now myself, what type of vehicle do you transport an 8' rod in? I myself have a sedan. I think angling it I could get one in, or putting down the seat to access the trunk.
  25. Nice catches Lou. One question is that your creepy cereal van parked in the background ? lol
