  1. Well I should clarify, the 4's singal is worse than my 3gs, but I am also using the older model of the 4 not the 4s so if your getting the new one I wouldn't even worry the issue is probably been fixed
  2. I got one in my bedroom closet about a month ago. how it made it upstairs I dunno. They are easy to find at night if you have a black light, they glow, just turn rocks over and you can spot them easier than in the day. Are black lights standard issue?
  3. Iphone has better apps, and is more user friendly. Love the flexible wifi, bluetooth, 3G features. Very nice camera and video on the 4. My wife had a HTC and we took it back to the store after a couple weeks. The HTC and windows phones run apps constantly and do other retarded stuff. Why do you need to purchase a program to kill the apps is beyond me? and almost all the junk on the HTC like blockbuster can't be deleted. So where is the freedom there, apple doesn't force you to keep junk from any vendor. It is too each his own. We have had Iphones since the orignial. My only complaint with the 4 is the cell signal. but other than that I love it. JMO Question for the non Iphone users can you turn your phones to a wifi hotspot?
  4. Bank fishing down here in FL. Been having good success with worms zoom trick worms or grande bass rattlesnakes rigged weightless. Casting to culverts, inflow or outflow from pond and corner weed edges but things are getting tougher as it gets hotter. Only managed one 2.75 pounder today in 2 hours.
  5. In fisherman magazine had an article on catching grass carp. Corn soaked in strawberry juice. They are very popular to catch over in Europe. They use a hair rig, if you google it you will see the images some with the corn on it. Also this months Florida Sportsman magazine has an article on fly fishing for them, thing that I thought was funny were the flies they tie that look like pieces of plant etc. And know the law about catching them. here in FL and up in VA you get fined, catch and release only. I have some ponds I fish here with them and some without. They are a nice addition to the ponds, if not over populated keeps the weeds undercontrol but not gone and allows fishing, the ones without now are getting very algea prone and almost unfishable.
  6. Well I got the jitter bug and a pack of 4" senkos in blue pearl holo black flake. First time out with them today. Got 4 or 5 big splashes but no lands on the jitter bug, couple of strikes were little guys but I like it, swapped the hooks out runs pretty good.I am going to keep at it try a few spots with it day and night. The senkos worked no better or worse than my trick worms or rattlesnakes. 4 catches this morning biggest was pound and a half. Do like how heavy they are, sink fast, cast easy and accurate. But Jeeeeeze can they beamy softer? Might as well make the dang thing out of toilet paper. One little 8 inch bass torn the SOB in three pieces. Not durable for the price. But I like them might add a pack to the tackle box for when I want to sink fast and stay near the bottom. Which is different than most the worms I fish. Just pull them out for the tough luck days.
  7. Glad you and your family are ok Nitro that is some crazy stuff. My wife's friend up in Odenton was without power for 31 hours as that area got knocked around too
  8. Patriarch sweet I been looking at them on eBay. Not that I need one lol.... love to hear about it...may just talk me into it lol
  9. No worries man I ended up walking my dog longer and hit a spot close to the house. 3 all under 10" had to leave as they started biting
  10. Carbonlite is an awesome rod I love mine! 6-6" MH with a Pflueger spinning reel.
  11. This is my suggestion. http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-CarbonLite-Spinning-Rods/product/10205013/-1751644 I pretty much fish zoom toads, or T-rigged plastics on it, ocasionally fish live night crawler with a small split shot, top water poppers and floating Rapalas and shallow suspending jerk baits. I have a 6'-6" MH fast with a Pflueger 35 series reel with 10 pound Stren mega thin. It is super light and it casts like a dream, good feel and plenty of back bone. I don't like throwing cranks with it, but is what I would call a great worm/finesse rod. Here is a thread with a pic of my setup and a pretty decent fish caught on it.(If I don't mind saying so myself) http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/102440-some-decent-jax-bass-today/#entry1123704
  12. Yeah man will be out tomorrow I can be @ publix 6 am but I have to leave by 7
  13. my mother used a push/pull stick from the boy scouts that was after the paddle ball paddles had no lingering affect. once she didn't have her stick and used my grandmothers cane, and broke it. my kids are lucky, I use my hand, I doubt I will ever use a stick but I do d**n sure make sure it gets its message across. after 3 wacks they look like little baboons with the red ****e$ running to their mommy.
  14. Grande Bass....Junebug red flake or Trophy Hunter colors is what I use. you can buy it at their website, I use another that gets all blocked out when you type it here like the word night LOL. but you gotta order them online. I am almost out, 3 more left. They work similar to a senko, but they are 2 bucks a pack cheaper, and super easy to rig weedless due to the ribs they have. Oh and they are scented, smell like garlic. I think they probably have a little more natural wiggle than a senko. If you check out the thread "decent Jax bass" you can see it in the pic next to the fish and the rod. Jax Basser will back me up on it, Junebug is the way to go, Red Shad they say is a FL color and it is pretty good but Junebug all the bigger have been snagged on maybe once I get my own house I will think about a jon boat, but right now in a town home you cannot store ****. LOL
  15. Awesome fish, nice work. That looks like a beautiful place to fish too!
  16. Congrats man, glad everything went well with the baby! Cove by bono's it is the second one about that big that has come out of there. Oh they are in there you just gotta work sometimes all I get is the little ones. But i got about a 2 pounder out same spot on friday. But this is like my tenth time fishing it lol I would guess about 3 pounds it wasn't as big or heavy as my avatar. It was short n fat lol 5" senko style weightless n u should be good to go I would love to get out there in a Jon boat or canoe n fish the deep water
  17. Awesome man, nice bass...that is funny you got a crappie, thought they liked big deep water......... Hopefully bite is still on I am gonna try out the pond that was on last Friday before the storm.
  18. I hear ya. If your interested in saltwater you can go off gandy, or 4th street north. There is a park up off Seminole blvd onto park street called lake seminole don't let the name fool you it is tidal I dunno if LMB are in the lake but there are redfish, trout etc and there are two small ponds that probably have something. Also John Bonner park. can walk down to the beach and wade the grass flats for trout, that is off ulmerton. Lots of jet ski traffic at lake Seminole. And wear water shoes oysters can mess you feet up. I love that area tho man great beaches etc. down on fort desoto there is awesome fishing too great beach as well. If ur in north st Pete there are some big ponds canal lakes at saw grass park. We used to go watch the baby gators there so be careful but am sure LMB is in there........., pm me for more info I can tell u anything u want about the area. Enjoy!
  19. I didn't really fish then when I lived in St. Pete, ocasionally would saltwater fish, which is great around there-tons of spots to wade or fish from shore in addition to boat. I do know however there are/is a st. pete/pinellas county bass club. I also know from another forum that the Braden river and Manatee river is a good place to catch them. I also believe there is a lake near tarpon springs, that is good, probably all retention ponds have talapia and bass(and gators). You are also only an hour to hour half max drive to kissimee. and all the big lake Orlando has to offer. Hope this helps a little, good luck
  20. If a spanking doesn't work you are not hitting them hard enough.
  21. Nice fish!
  22. It was pretty thick lol I think the rain has been good to him Yep same here day before that last storm I got that big one, biggest so far.
  23. Good call Jax Basser! Fished my usual spot at Publix, from 6 am to 7 am overcast with off and on light to moderate rain, got 3 strikes and misses, one break off, and landed this one, all on Junebug red flake 4.5" Rattlesnake near a culvert, a deeper flat in a cove next to main pond about 4-5 feet of water. Same fish different pic.
  24. Good to hear I was going to give it a go tomorrow rain or shine
  25. Bomber square a, in baby bass, foxy shad and chart brown back. Bomber fat free in citrus shad. Flat a is also good. These are inexpensive but effective options. Xcalibur has some good square bills for a little more money, the smallmouth, foxy shad and brown craw colors
