    Big Worms

I found a tackle shop(after several strikeouts) that had both the Mag Trick and Mightee in stock, half the colors of each worm were gone. After seeing and touching both, I went with the Mag Trick. It felt better, I love the regular trick worms and got more for the price, didn't have black so went with watermelon red over junebug and bubblegum. The Yums did have a lot more flake and transparency to their worms(that grape/red sure looks good). I got these for thursday, going to my spots where I know there are good size fish pushing 5 plus in there. First time I can fish in a while. let yall know if they do the trick. Thanks again for all the input.

Yeah this is what I found on reviews on TWH and BPS sites.
  3. The two tropical storms that passed near here in Jax this year, the best bite was the day or so before and during. Once the storm passed it was weeks before the bite came back on.
  4. Some good looking fish, nice.
  5. Sam's number 7 & 9 is how I usually fish the ponds in my area. Good stuff! also let your trick worm sink a little n work the middle of the water column parallel to weed edges or around structure
  6. No way! That is crazy they are going all out I kinda am rooting for them to win the west but I think it would be awesome if Cinci won it all, small market and lots of home grown talent. I like Dusty Baker, he is no BS old school says the truth kinda guy. Would be nice for him.

I do like the 6" Strike King Finesse worms I picked up a couple weeks ago. Always catch something with them.

    Big Worms

I'm looking for a bigger worm around 10" to fish weightless, t-rigged, and Carolina. I want a non ribbon tail. So far the 3 I am thinking about are Xcite Maximus, Yum MightEE Worm, and Zoom Magnum Trick. I like the colors available for the yum the best but in the limited reviews it sunk, and fell apart, they were average, think lot of the disappointment was from shakey head guy wanting a floater...The Xcite floats, which with a 6/0 hook is the any concern getting it down?....and the Mag Trick which limited colors and is the smallest but I love the regular trick worms. Anyone have experience using any of these, any recommendations? what techniques were successful? Any other brands I should checkout? Thanks in advance.
  10. Awesome fish! What did lure you catch it with?
  11. CCR is a great band. I used to have bad moon rising on a little vynil record with a little record play when I was 6 or 7 years old. I wore that thing out.
  12. Nice pup. Congrats. I got a rescue myself. About how old and how big?
  13. I second that vote.
  14. Balto was too cheap and wanted phillie to eat the salary. They say he will be a wavier wire trade or something. But man I am floored this is more big trades than I can recall. Great to see that Wild West in the NL man, should be good, 3 teams duking it out. and Texas and Anahiem/LA/Cali Angels.....The AL East is a big dissappointment, I figured all the teams would have a better record especially from Tampa and Boston. Both staffs really had some injuries and just plain been mediocre. Grabbed Arroyo Yesterday and Ludwick today. Cinci is on fire! hope they didn't peak too soon.
  15. Really nice fish. Even better with the ultra light gear. What type lure were you using?
  16. Never used a Tornado, but the Grande Bass Rattlesnake is MONEY! That new rage bait looks very similar to the Megatail Rattlesnake. Big Bite Bait has the coon tail that is close to it. If worst comes to worst order online and have it overnighted.
  17. You and your family are in our prayers. Let me know if there is anything I could do. It sounds like you have a right to be upset, doesn't make any sense how they can deny you. But then again what makes sense these days, at any job, the policies and hoops are rediculous. I hope all the best for you and your family. Hope she and the little one get well soon.
  18. Dang 63! Nice!...now is that an average day, good day or great day? And how long where y'all out for? I get 1-5 or 6 in and hour or so when I get out. 63 would put me on the DL list for Tommy John LOL
  19. I just picked up Maholm, knock on him was run support, he has been on fire lately. Hopefully he can keep it up and with some runs behind him put me in the W column down the stretch. Any word on Blanton? Hear he is on his way out of phillie. O's were rumored. Be nice to sign him to a couple years of course in the yard his number probably turn to crap. Since that park has opened I wonder who has the best stats there for both the O's and visitors.
  20. I would skip the braid. Check out the monofilament thread to see why. Mono is cheaper, more forgiving and easier.....8-12 pounds and make sure your drag is setup. You'll be good to go. I have an ugly stick as a second rod, good rod, but a little heavy IMO. I would go with the vendetta if you could get it around 50. Also BPS and Gander have some nice "store brand" rods in that range too.
  21. I Vote for president, pflueger puts out some top knotch spinning reels.
  22. Got 3 in 40 mins, all small 10-14 inch. 2 on zoom toads, 1 on KVD finesse worm at that pond just past the cemetery. Dump trucks came and I left. Didn't have much time working the worm, might have caught more. It worked out though.
  23. Awesome fish. Congrats.
  24. I used trilene XL 4 and 6 pounds for my kids rods and 10 pound for my top water/extra rod. I use 10 pound stren mega thin for my main setup. Just always used it, cheap to replace, works. I do have one rod with 20 braid use it for inshore/heavy cover. I agree with Tracker01 "I HATE BRAID. " it has its usefulness but I still hate the feel, the look, how it holds knots, hate no stretch on hook sets, IT SUCKS CASTING. Never used fluro, just too expensive to try. I fish some clear water and mono works for me.
