  1. Well I pulled it off! League Champion!!! First time for Baseball. Fantasy football is fun you get all sorts of people and talk all about the games, but baseball you need to really be on point to make the pickups and know who and what is winning. And Lets go O's bounce those Rangers out of the playoffs and seal their collapse.
  2. Awesome day guys. Nice write up. what were you getting them on?
  3. I am hanging on to a 10-2 lead, last day barring anything prolific I am league champ!!!!
  4. Nice fish
  5. They make husky and xraps both in 2-1/2" sizes The biggest tell the Husky looks like the original floating it is that smooth torpedo shape and the bill is a speperate peice of plactic inserted in and the xrap bill looks like it is poured/molded all one piece together with the bait, it's shape is also different there is an indent on the body behind the eyes.
  6. My favorite is Grande Bass rattlesnake is junebug, weighless with a 3/0 or 4/0 hook sometimes EWG sometimes not. A close second is zoom trick or KVD finesse worm weightless with same hooks. Trick worm colors are baitfish, red shad, junebug and KVD love the mutilator.
  7. No luck for us today.
  8. Jeeze no wonder you don't know about fall patterns lol, spring summer skip back to spring lol but we get a little cold snap up here, gotta wait til I hear Jan or Feb for first beds.

    First Lure

something top water, jitter bug, popper or zoom toad or vibe worm, or work flukes close to the surface.
  11. Nice fish, got the same that color swim bait, good stuff.
  12. From 6:30 to 7 am blue gill colored Bitters skippy shad got me a couple of nice fish, 2-3 pound range....was on the way to work and couldn't resist.
  13. Good info thanks. I know what you are talking about, I have had a few days that were insainly good shallow, topwater. but most days are still fishing like july or august, slow and slower out deeper or in shady strucutre.
  14. running it like a buzz bait, all over the place. works nice around grass and over slop. anywhere you would use a buzz bait but wouldn't due to the wire and exposed hook. I like to run it through grass areas and weeds along the shore line that are sticking up just above the water, like a few feet deep. run it around culverts too.
  15. I have always and still do use mono 95% of the time, 4-10# depending on all my freshwater setups. No complaints here, feel my soft plastic bits just fine, like it for throwing poppers. Don't fish areas with too many rocks or tree limbs mostly grass. I use 20# braid for salt/heavy cover fresh water(also have a 14# mono setup for salt only). I dislike how it casts, feel the distance isn't there, is a pain with tangles, braid hates anything with trebles or o rings, and I personally am not a fan of the no stretch just haven't used it enough to become adept with hooksets with it. Braid just is too difficult and time consuming with what you can or need to do with it. tying backing on, tying leaders, tangles and digging in on spinning gear. At least with my crappy mono I can do anything I want and not really have to worry about this that or the other. Spool it up set my drag right and I can land just about any bass.I use mono because I like it, am used to it, it is cheap and like you said 65# isn't very sporting. So dam007 why did you switch back to mono for your saltwater setups?
  16. So here is my question to all you long time florida anglers. When is does the "fall pattern" start? October? It is a little cooler here, mid to high 80's versus low 90's in august. and about 10 degrees cooler at night, but I am not seeing anything coming shallow yet. Still fishing like summer so far for me. Any thoughts or advice?
  17. Anytime man.
  18. What route are you taking? 95 to I4? If so I am just off 95 in Jax and have some spots literaly 2 minutes off 95, PM me if interested. and over off of I4 and 434 there is an awesome tackle store...Bitters Bait and tackle. If you get I chance, I know how trips and there is never enough time to do everything.
  19. http://www.dgif.virg...reciprocity.asp I did it two Junes ago. Had my Va liscense and we left out of Brunskwick MD and camped on the island north near knoxville. fished off both banks and out of the boat. Just becareful about the tributaries.
  20. Not too far from there is a couple nice ponds right off JTB and 95. look at it on google maps almost due north from that pond, it is on AC Skinner. It connects to a creek, it is in a business park. also there is a small one next to the surgical institute. Also fish early in the morning, no one is up and out or cares to be a dick at 6, 7 or 8 am.
  21. Just a heads up so you don't run into any issues. people used to be able to fish some areas located on disney property, Fort wilderness camp area was a popular one, some canals etc. We were looking at staying and talking to the rep about places to fish, they said they recently changed the policy and no fishing is allow from rented boat or shore on disney property unless you are with their fishing excursion. Like Captain Shane said most any body of water holds some bass, I would us google earth and locate a few spots. A guide for Disney told me he got his PB a 9 pound fish out of a small retention pond on a plastic worm. So you don't need big water to get a big fish. Good luck and have fun.
  22. I think the same. whites, silvers, silver or gold flake, blue pearl, brown/gold pearl, smoke or grey Place where I fish my "natural" color is baitfish, it is a kinda clear grey with mulit color flake over a milky white. I have fished a blue pearl holo flake color with lesser sucess. I really like the translucent greys.
  23. Thanks for posting I am looking at taking the family out to the beach this weekend to give it another go. My son and wife are very excited to pull in a saltwater species.
  24. Reading Florida sportsman this month(one with the whaoo on the cover) and they echoed the same thing again in the local report. The salt/brackish is 80 miles up river to Palakta. They are catching bluefish in the river where they never have seen them before. The previous reports where the hurricanes/trop storms we had here would drive the salt content down, but it is back up now. dunno maybe the warmth or the rising ocean as a whole is a greater factor than the rain.
  25. Was throwing a zoom toad one time. Already caught one and working my way around the pond. I passed a culvert, decided to cast back to it one last time. It was like the fish was playing centerfield. I didn't hear the toad hit the water, see a splash ring nothing, my bait was gone. I thought it went past the culvert to the bank or I threw the bait off. I started to reel and the line suddenly came to life. It was hook and pretty far down, landed it and returned it safe. but it was certainly a surprise and made me laugh.
