  1. Here is the Esee Izula II I just picked up. perfect size for the pocket and love the micarta handle. Made in the USA with a lifetime warranty, can't beat it. It is 1095 carbon steel with a black powder coat. 2-5/8" blade and about 6-3/4" total length. And the knife w/ plastic sheath will only set you back $60 (leather sheath not included)
  2. Lol the cards fan at work kept telling me i was jinxing it for them I thought it was a win for the cards
  3. Hey man how's it going. Welcome
  4. Nice fish man congrats
  5. Winning in the post season or not taking a division title from the braves is pretty awesome! I am sure next go around they will have less nerves from this go around. And hopefully they are hitting the playoffs when they are swinging hot bats.
  6. Yeah I am from that area grew up with the O's but haven't lived there but a year and a half since the nats have been in town. Been to a couple of their games. Congrats to them on their season too bad it was cut short. And Davey Johnson as their skip, loved him when he managed with the O's and he played on some good ballclubs with them too.
  7. Right, uv is the stuff sun block protects us from. U all seen rainbows? Water acts as a prism when light passes through. This spray is just a coating of something at reflects uv, put simply. Not sure but i believe when uv, ultra voilet is seperate/isolated. There is more physics to it.
  8. Detriot is on FIRE!!!! thank you for beating the yanks big D.
  9. As an O's fan I am thanking and rooting for you guys. As a Fantasy Baseball manager with Verlander on my team the last 3 years, I am rooting for you guys, especially since he brought me home a FB championship this year in my Yahoo league.(oh I had Fister down the stretch too) GO TIGERS!!!!!! Keep up the awesome pitching!!!!!!! Good luck
  10. Roland Martin had Spike It on an episode of his show for those that want to check it out. It is an interesting concept. They even go into color visibility under water.
  11. Nice pics, looks like a sucessful trip.
  12. I like it, actually l think my son would LOVE it. I will look into these, you know any retailers that sell them offhand? I think Walmart carries some of the older and generic SK stuff. good thread, thanks for that.
  13. X2 I just picked one up this spring and mine works as advertised. Send them back and get some new working ones hopefully
  14. Not so sure if I like the fish or not, but the rod and reel combo look sweet! Them big fish always got them ole bug eyes lol
  15. I read infisherman, bassmaster, and www.solunarforecast.com for all my fishing times, they are generally the same days but the times vary. the best in my opinion is later of the three. It seems the times are more accurate and gives the most info on moon phase. But like bankbeater said I might say hey I am going today or this weekend, check it out but regardless the time etc. I am going anyway. Plus you have to aknowledge that weather, clouds, pressure, fronts etc. play a part in your outcome for the day too. I have went out on days the calendars say should suck and killed them and then days that are supposed to be great at the time they say and skunked it. I don't read too much into them anymore, I go any day, pay attention to the current weather conditions and fish accordingly.
  16. ^^^ thanks, I needed a good laugh
  17. Rivers gave Denver the game but the broncs still have a good defense so far. Don't count out the texans. And what wins championships folks? Defense! So along with Denver, Seattle and the Vikes can make a run in the playoffs and shock a few. The play of the defense from Seattle against the Pats was impressive. I liked the story about their corner Sherman and safety on yahoo sports. Good stuff. Sad to see my man Ray Lewis done for the year, it is up to Ed now. Ravens shot at the Superbowl is likely done. Hate to see the Ravens win without Ray but would be nice for Reed to get his day.
  18. Mono. It is the the cheapest and easiest to use. Like SirSnook said set your drag right and you can land anything within reason. I use 8# Stren Megathin and landed a few in the 4's, 5's and 6's. It will handle pretty heavy weeds no problem, I fish some fairly weedy ponds. just check your knot and line regularly. Most breakoffs are due to knicks in the line. Berkley is good but Stren is the best IMO. I hear good stuff about the Yozuri and want to try it so I can't vouch for that.
  19. hahaha that is awesome. I always like to find simple lures or techniques with my kids too. I mean earth worms are great for catching sunnies but for bass I feel like they should learn really how to do it with lures.
  20. Looks like they had a great time. Nice pics. What bait did they catch them with? I know exactly what you mean. Pressure to get the kids some fish is worse than the pressure you put on yourself to get the big one. But once they get some fish it is all worth it.
  21. suspending jerk baits good for cool/cold weather with a loooong pause between movements. jigs with trialer I hear works, slowly dragging them on the bottom but I don't really use them. You should be able to find tons of info on these tactics. And if you just want fish in the boat, crappie and sunfish are good to go in the cold. use gulp or live shiners for the crappie and a worm with a split shot for the sunnies caught them all winter long last year.
  22. Was looking at them on tackle warehouse, stumbled upon them looking at supremes. Looks like a good deal for $80 bucks. Other than that website I can't find much else myself not even pflueger fishing's website.
  23. Guess your right RW, it isn't a great deal of money for the experiment. I always feel when ordering online though I want to make sure the purchase is justified since shipping will apply. Sometimes we all tend to overthink.
  24. Nice fish. sounds like you had an awesome day, you and your dad really had their number.
  25. congrats on the catch, can't wait to see the pic. I am starting to try my hand at saltwater, I will deffinitely check out that lure.
