  2. Real nice fish u got urself there man
  3. Ended up with Mcdonalds lastnight, it was ok...only because I scrapped the drink and picked up a yuegling tall boy ;0 coffee for breakfast today, PBJ and an apple and tangerine for lunch
  4. Dang dude that pizza sounds good right! they need to add that to their menu, kinda sounds more like a poppa johns theme pizza they always do LOL But man that makes me hungry just reading the toppings. And scrapple is money but is hard to find here in the south must be a Md/Va thing. People look at me like I am crazy here in Fla when I mention it. They don't know what they are missing, that hands down is the best breakfast meat. You can go so many ways with it, ketchup, king syrup, hot sauce, plain, on a samwhich, chopped in the eggs, lovvvvvee scrapple.
  5. Had coffee and a pear, didn't have lunch but then I got my wife's leftover spinach calzone and bread stick droppef by since she was in area, with water. Sitting here at my sons bjj class wonder What is for dinner?!?!
  6. How is the food? Waffle House (poor) or Cracker Barrel (cant get enough) good? Lol
  7. Junebug red flake rattlesnakes got me my two biggest this year. It is my favorite color. Anything in any junebug color is a good one though. I didn't have any success on watermelon red mag trick worms. But recently watermelon seed is go to for me. So I am liking watermelon more now.
  8. Rooster tails will get u fish. Small bass and blue gill. Cranks, my son uses small ones with success, other use cranks but I don't really. I heard lipless cranks are the way to go down here. The only hard baits I really use are pop-r, jitter bugs, sometimes rapala minnows and a bomber long a. Pop-r really cleaned up post spawn.
  9. I love trick worms as well, red shad, junebug, junebug chart tip, baitfish are mainly what I use, worked good fishing weightless in the summer havent beens so productive of late. Weightless stick baits. Zoom Flukes or other soft jerk baits work well too. Spring and summer horny toads or vibe worms, buzzbait a on top. Right now been having luck with grubs on 1/16 or 1/8 jig head or Texas rigged plastics with 1/8 oz. wacky rigged centipedes. Rooster tails if u have some open water. Hope it helps good luck.
  10. Lol there's a cure move to Florida
  11. Bitters bait. Excellent quality, selection of colors and great price.
  12. A few more Also avoid chains, if they have shops in the mall or ones that don't take appointments lol. My artist said that a respectable rate is 100-200/hr. Find a person that does a 100% custom work and balances what u want with what is technically and artistically correct. My guy moved up to NC and I have moved but we keep in touch. He still has to finish a piece. We found a good one here in Jax that my wife has gotten a piece done. But like said before once u find a good one u will be set and u will keep using them.
  13. Google blue fox or Rapala and go to their website. Target and walmart, sports authority sells them too.
  14. That's not the one I fish, but try it. I am down south my publix pond is Old st Aug n Bartram Prk blvd. I can usually catch dinks to 1 pound average and every once in a while hook a nice 3-4 pounder. My pond is big enough to have places I can't always reach from shore, it can be tough to get quality. I dunno what is up by u man I hear UNF and some ponds on butler/ kernan are good. Some guys fish around the town center and off gate/bay meadows there are ponds and a park. I don't venture that far north so can't really help ya too much.
  15. Happy thanksgiving God bless
  16. I think that is a blue fox minnow spin. They are owned by Rapala. It is a rapala minnow with a blade on front. I have tha same color in the 02 size. I always fished it straight steady retrieve to keep the spinner going. I have caught a small LMG on it but more sunnies and blue gills due to mine being the small size. That size who knows depending on what is in your water you probably could snag LMG, walleye, pike with it.
  17. Cool story congrats on all the baits.
  18. Did ok this morning. 1/8 oz. T-rigged Watermelon Zoom Lizards! Had 3 on, landed one, had a nice one and had it 10 feet from shore, jumped and spit the bait out. I didn't even have it hooked, the lizard hooked itself. That sucker held on for a while, good fight lol.My buddy fishing with me saw the whole thing and I showed him the lizard and couldn't believe it either.
  19. Yeah there is no access like a canal or swamp around for most of these ponds. The couple places I have seen them here in Jax are Fdot ponds with canal access(the interchange at 295) or swamps near the road(A1A and 210). I keep an eye out cuz you never know, but I am confindent in my observations that there are no gators in this pond.
  20. LOL not quite. Gators are more like a mythical creature. They are in places like swamps and Fdot ponds, these neighborhoods the HOA would have the national guard out to remove the thing so their toy poodle wouldn't get snapped up in a heartbeat.LOL....It wasn't really a swim. He was fascinated by the sand/mud squishing he was jumping up and down, hit a slick spot and boom on the backside in the drink and he wasn't in for long, you shoulda seen him scramble out once he fell LOL.
  21. Thank you. I just found the thread I will give it a try.
  22. Thanks! Yeah I only seem to find blue fox or wordens in the couple of stores I been to. I have some bigger ones, will check the brand, but I believe they are wordens from my aunts tackle when she was a teen in the late 60's some of the paint is chipped but they still work. I do notice what u mean about how they spin, have to go pretty quick and sometimes they "stick" (even the old ones). That was part of Nate's problem he was too slow and jerky.
  23. Picked up a couple rooster tails for the boys, so we went to try them out yesterday. The oldest got 7 bluegills, a couple nice ones. The youngest had a bit of a hard time getting the reeling down but with my help we ended up with a couple, including a big guy. He passed his time between fish playing in the mud and taking a dip with his clothes on LOL. We had a blast though, their smiles tell it all. Here are some pics thanks for looking.
  24. Watermelon black flake zoom, thanks for the info. Planning on wednesday so any info from Tuesday would be appreciated.
