  1. Dont be afraid to work it below the surface. Ive caught a lot of fish burning the buzzbait next to cover and then killing it next to potential ambush points.
  2. You did catch three bass.
  3. This is easy, 1. Shimano Clarus 7'2 MHF with Shimano Citica- T-Rig, C-Rig, frogs, spinnerbaits, small swimbaits, flukes, jigs, topwater, crankbaits, flipping, pitching. 2. Lamiglas N 386 MS with Shimano Sahara- Dropshot, wacky rigged plasticts, skipping
  4. The straight tail Roboworm. They flat out produce on the drop-shot, shaky head, wacky rigged, T-Rig/C-Rig.
  5. My goal, like many others, is being paid to fish. I manage this through teaching a fishing program at a Boy Scout summer camp which requires about 4 hours of teaching in the middle of the day, aside from that I can fish to my hearts delight on the clock. Life is good.
  6. Why not just bookmark it? Is it really that difficult to move your finger a couple extra times.
  7. It's high. One of our local shops repaired two eyelets and a tip on one of my rods for $20. I'd get the new rod.
  8. 4/0 EWG Hook + Senko = Fish
  9. Yes they have happened but I've never had a problem getting them out.
  10. I think it's the challenge and then the feeling of conquering it that got me hooked.
  11. I typically go with black chatterbait and then try to find as much hard cover as I can.
  12. Check out your guy's local army surplus stores if you cant find .22. Ours has about 7 bricks sitting on the front counter.
  13. You will use the lifetime warranty with the Clarus.
  14. Make it clear to him and his mom that they have to provide their own gear. If he needs advice on what to get, it shouldn't be a problem helping him do that. Honestly you should be able to get him operating for about $20-30. I personally run on a you lose it- you replace it basis when loaning lures.
  15. I'll be honest, this does not tell us very much. I have got ponds loaded with bass that makes my little brother who's ten look like an Elite Pro. If your going to pursue this, you need to fish larger and more heavily pressured bodies of water to improve your skills and knowledge, and most importantly, network. Its not necessarily what you know, it is who you know, but it does help when you know what your doing. Otherwise, specificity helps, like how are you going to advertise and how you going to improve their business. FYI smaller local companies are more likely to partner with you than larger ones. Also, you do not need sponsorship to fish or "get on your feet", find a niche in your community and work to achieve your goals. Hint: Right click the red line under a word to get spelling correction.
  16. Lighter line, a slower presentation, and good attitude will fix all those problems.
  17. When I personally can get them, I use Lucky Craft Pointers but otherwise i also use the Rick Clunn RC STX jerkbaits and the Smithwick Rogues. I feel that the STX's and the Rogues are pretty decent for the money.Color wise I really can't help, were just in different places.Suggestion though, is find out the species of baitfish and replicate it as closly as possible. I feel it makes a difference X2 on this. Do this if you have the means.
  18. I'd find some decent jerkbaits and then also learn how to dropshot. Those two have saved the day more then once for me.
  19. Well its only a matter of time. It will happen.
  20. Lol... then this is exactly what I'll be doing for the next week in physics. FYI they must have done something to you in that engineering school because you are starting to sound just like the physics teacher. And I am still trying to grasp this. Is it only differentiable on a certain interval or time? You lost me.
  21. To me it sounds like you need another reel.
  22. I'll have to check out that forum to see what they say. I already tried ebay but no ones selling the same reel and the ones that are close are beat to hell. I don't think that'll be a problem, this guy takes care of all his stuff and besides you can't beat free at this age.
  23. Here is another one
