  1. im sure that as long as you can stay centered you'll be ok. i would put my cell phone in a ziplock the first couple test runs and make sure you gear is always secured. it would suck to flip it and have all your gear sink to the botton.
  2. i seen that show the other day on wfn about bass fishing from a kayak it looked like it had its perks. your gonna be able to fish where no boat can fish. the host was standing up while setting the hook and all. im sure if you take a wrong step your gonna end up in the drink but other then that it looked like fun. as it gains more and more popularity the accesories and options will be endless.
  3. i couldnt agree more. ill go naked before my kids miss a meal.
  4. i think if you can find something you like that isnt gonna get the lights cut off go for it. you only live once and if you dont persue what you want your never gonna get it. i just got a really nice garage kept 19' nitro with a 150 merc and its not the newest boat on the water but it starts everytime and i havent had one bass complain lol.
  5. ok sounds good. i found a water/fuel seperator online that has a small valve on the bottom that releases the filtered water heres what i was gonna pick up http://www.wholesalemarine.com/pc/MAL-9-37880/99990175/Mallory+Marine/Mallory+Marine+Visi-Bowl+Fuel+Water+Separator+Kits+for+Outboards.html
  6. Check the nada website for boat values if it's alot less then it's worth there's probably something wrong with it or a scam. You should treat every craigslist deal with caution that way your guards up and it's harder to miss something.
  7. I'm in Orlando fl and my bass rants usually fall on deaf ears. I work in the medical field and it seems like that's all these people know. I love the outdoors and enjoy it with friends or me and my thoughts and the best part is I get all the bass to my self lol.
  8. Yeah i know the feeling it blows but atleast I saved you alot of time and headaches dealin with jerks like that. Just tryin to help out a fellow angler. If you really want a bass boat post your own add stating what your looking for and what your willing to spend. It worked for me She's older but garage kept and works perfect for me and my wallet.

  10. Looks good maybe to good to be true. I would definitly not respond to any emails askin to send the Money to the princess of Nubia lol (that has happened to me). Craigslist can be a great place to find good deals but that also attracts scammers praying and suckers. My rule is if it doesn't have a phone number to talk to the owner or the deal looks to good to be true just keep it moving. That same add Is posted here on Orlando Craigslist so looks like you will be recieving junk email for a while.
  11. Got it. I've always seen signs that say boat gas at gas stations near popular water. Can I install the filter wherever or does it need to be near the tank or motor something like that. Thanks for the help.
  12. i recently purchased a 1994 nitro bass boat with a 150hp mercury. i was cleaning it up today and decided to check the air box for any debris, bugs and things like that and found a funny lookin fluid in the air box and around the openings for the carb. any body ever seen this before. when it starts it does seem to smoke a bit but only when it first starts and it is a 2 stroke. she runs real good when you put the throttle down i gps'd it at 55mph. i cleaned it out with carb spray and put everything back together will check after a couple runs to see if it comes back. i was thinking maybe some kind of fuel addititve or something. heres a pic
  13. spinnerbaits and jigs work for me. live bait usually smokes um as well.
  14. I've swam there a couple times recreationally even been on the rope swing a couple miles up from the 44 boat ramp in deland but to fall in on accident with no time to look around and make sure gatorzilla isn't seasoning me in his mind is another story. There's a few places on the st johns I would swim but where we usually fish are some pretty sketchy areas.
  15. i've been in the water twice while fishing. once on purpose chasing a rod/reel and once was from taking a back step on a hook set to far lol. the time i meant to jump in wasnt that bad it was on lake conway which is crystal clear water but the other was on the st johns and unexpected. i was back on the boat so fast my boxers were still dry, dirty but dry lol. i think it would have to be determined on a case by case basis for me speacilly when you live in fl.
