"Chronado. I like that. I assume you mean the white 200e series". Yup. Those are the ones. They took the Curado E series, slapped a new paint job on them and called them Chronarchs and called it a day.
I have a top 3 that have probably accounted for 80%+ or so over the last couple of years:
1. Walking Topwater (Sammy/ Gunfish)
2. Underspin W/ Trailer (Coolbaits/ Misc Plastics)
3. Various Plastics in T-Rig, Weightless and D-Shot
Honorable mention to Jerkbaits (Vision 110/ Pointer 100)
My personal GOAT reel. Not the fanciest thing ever, but for me they just have a certain mojo. Set it and forget it, no worries reel. I have several E series in multiple sizes and still prefer them to this day over any other CU Shimano has put out.
Some of you guys are pretty lucky to have had so few break over such long fishing careers. I broke one "testing" the parabolic action by hand (high Stick). One by boat flippin' a fish (HS). One by snap casting a Swimbait. One by casting an A-Rig. One by jamming it in my in truck cab. One I have no idea, just noticed it was broken taking it out of the rod sleeve. Those are just the ones off the top of my head and I try and take care of my gear. I don't feel I'm particularly rough or careless with it.
I almost exclusively fish an Underspin instead of a Spinnerbait these days. Just sold off all my A-Rigs and most of my big Swimbaits along with some 300-400 size reels. I leave the heavy lifting fishing to my Tuna fishing.
There is no wrong way to fish them. I would say most people fish them weightless wacky rig. I prefer to weightless fly-line them most of the time. I caught PB on a trip to MX when I pinned one on a T-Rig after we ran out of lizards. I believe A-Jay uses them as jig trailers in MX.
