nice fish tritz18. i went out to lake wequaquet in barnstable yesterday and caught over a dozen mostly from 2 to 4 lbs all by flippin tubes into lily pads
caught a 36 in. northern pike in the concord river along with another small one... i hooked up on the 36 in. on a floating worm and the fish took out about 30 yards of line. anyone know anything about the pike in the river? the water is nasty i didnt think theyd b able to live in there.
When nothing else works i go with some heavier rooster tails... they dont catch real big fish but if you wanna hook up on a few real quick ill throw the rooster tail, gives you some good convidence too
finally got out to Cochituate this morning and really liked the lake after fishing it for the first time, def wanna go back. Caught 8 total largemouth, the largest being around 4 lbs. There werent nearly any other people fishing or boaters out there
i fished yesterday too and only caught a few bass. i must have had about 20 hits though the fish seemed to b not aggressive at all... i dont think i was missing them i just think the fish were real sluggish which doesnt make sense. i slow rolled spinnerbaits and the fish just wudnt take it. I cud see them whack it but they just wudnt eat it. I also tried different ways of retrieving different plastic worms and caught all my fish this way
Concord river isnt producing any where near the fish i usually catch on it... caught one real big one about 2 months ago and since then ive been getting skunked or getting low numbers of fish. Wondering if anyone else had fished it recently and how theyve done
ya the concord river is my favorite but i wanted to fish a big lake nothing great up here but thanks everybody and if you go grampa1114 lemme know how you do
im from mass and he used to have a fishing show on necn a channel in mass and whenever he was actually fishing he caught the smallest fish ever. When he wasnt fishing which was most of the time he was screaming about some boston team. I dont think anyone likes him and ever since he got a national tv show hes started dressing like a dipstick
fished 4 hrs this morning and landed some nice fish including a nice 6.5lber some other nice 3's and a total of 7 largemouth. water temperature was still in the high 40s low 50s but managed to land them working real slow.
wanted to get out to do some smallmouth fishing in southern new hampshire anyone got any preferences? Never fished any lakes in new hampshire so i wanted to know some good lakes to try
