  1. I did not mean to refer to a spinning rod. Casting only. I was flirting with the 893 but am converned that ti wont fit in my Plano travel tube, says its for 7 foot rods.
  2. I am researching a good senko rod. As noted in an earlier post I fish anywhere from Lake Fork (17+lb test) to Lake Norman (12lb or less). Looking more versital of the rods for tossing weightless plastics. Or do you recommend a different rod? Thank you for your help.
  3. My brother-in-law resides in Lynchburg, Virginia. He is an avid cat fisherman. I on the other hand am a bass man. All I know about cat fishing is stink bait. I'd like to get him a nice Christmas gift related to cat fishing. Can anyone help? Are there any good tackle stores in Lynchburg that I could contact? Your advice is appreciated.   9. I have a very deep discount on Garica reels right now so price is not a huge factor. I am thinking the reel will be for either cranks or flipping. I love my quantum tour edition - but because of my current discount I want to try a higer end Garcia reel. Do you know what Garcia reels are similar to Quantum tour edition PTs.

  13. I have a few of the Quantum tour editions (te1161pt) and love them. It is smooth, can toss light and heavy baits. Check ebay for a great deal.

  15. Why don't more states have share-a-lunker programs likes Texas. NC and SC, Fla, GA - with high numbers of bass fisherman in these states it seems that this may be a useful tool in developing trophy bass in these waters. So why not?

  21. Quantum tour edition pt. Not sure of the 2009 model, but the older one is great.
  22. I may acquire a Loomis as a gift. I always seem to gravitate to the MBR843C GLX 7' 10 - 17 1/4 - 3/4 Fast Med-Heavy. This seems like a very versatile all around rod. Because I don't have a ton of cash, and cant have a rod specific for everything, would this be ok as a multipurpose rod? Would would it not be good for? Thanks!
  23. I used to ds from the shore all the time but the ratio of big to small fish was killing me so i stopped. It produces no doubt. It almost like finesse Carolina-rig in a way.
  24. Will be primarily fishing Fork and other east TX lakes. Is this too early/late for the famous action on Fork?
  25. I really want a loomis rod. I really don't want to pay loomis price. What are the pros/cons of purchasing a custom made loomis? Any recommendations?
