  1. Highly considering buying the new Ike reaction rod for this purpose. There's a 6'3 they designed specifically for jerk baits. They run around 120 or so. Been using a 7' spinning set up and I think the shorter rod will help a lot with working the baits.
  2. Spinnerbaits! Hope to change that though.
  3. Another veritas vote! 7'3 mh will be good for what you want.
  4. I really thought it was going to be 13 for me, but something about my Powells just edged them out enough for me to roll that direction. The new inferno's though $30 more than the *** are some bad mama jamma's. Currently using a mix of Endurance, Diesel and Inferno's.
  5. Get a Zillion crazy cranker? That is if money is not an issue? It's got the ratio you want.
  6. That's a deal breaker for me as well. That type of money deserves a better warranty which there is a bunch of rods in that price range that have better warranties.
  7. Sorry man but the endurance blows the savvy out of the water all day, not even close here. I would take one of the new inferno's over a savvy. If your spending Dobyns money you really ought to just get an Extreme.
  8. Champ vs Endurance is pretty even. Now Dx vs Endurance brings some separation.
  9. Love all my Pfluegers, the Supreme Xt is definitely worth it for longevity. Presidents have been great but after a year of consistent fishing they do start to lose their tightness. I would expect that out of most any reel in that range though. My XT is still running as tight and smooth as the day I bought it.
  10. Tatula for the win then
  11. For distance on a spinning reel I have to agree Nanofil is the way to go!
  12. Robo Worms in Aarons Magic and Morning Dawn are killer drop shot baits
  13. Thanks for the replies! The question came up the other day when fishing a lake that seemed to have an even mix of each. Im wondering now if some of the dark ones were hiding in holes in the rocks. The biggest fish ended up being one of the brownish green, although typically the biger the fish the better the barring. We even caught a few with dark grey bellies, beautiful fish! ,
  14. So what is the difference between the coloration? I have caught many smallmouth of all different sizes some just the solid brownish green and others covered in the bars. Is it a male/female deal?
