  6. hey guys, ive been using my baitcasting reels since the beginning of the season and love them! i don't get birdsnests or big backlashes. but i get these tiny little overruns on my spool while casting. like loose loops. just enough to annoy me after each cast to put into free spool and pullout the line until the loops are gone. i mean i know how to set each lure weight for my tension knob and i have my breaks set the way i like them. but i just don't get why i have these tiny loose loops around my spool more times than not when i cast. is it just my breaks? do i need to ride my thumb over the spool with a little bit more feathering? please let me know what you guys think to help me out. again its not a birdsnest or big backlash just on some casts i more likly than not get these tiny overruns where its only one or two spool turns that i have to pull out to make my line on my spool even again. thanks, -zildjian

  10. Hey guys, Want to start to learn to throw chatterbaits. I'm just not sure how to fish them? Like a jig? Spinnerbait? Slow retrieve with twitches? I have a 6'9" MH Duckett with Shianno Curado and 14lb mono. What size should I throw? 3/8oz? Thanks
  11. I couldn't believe how hard it was for them to hit it. And they are big bass! I just walked the banks, and I found 3 beds each with one big bass on them. Everytime I walked over to one, the bass would swim off, then make a turn back and just stare at the bed. And when I would throw my trick worm or jig and walk on the bed or right in front of the bass's mouth it still wouldn't hit it. I was getting so frustrated. I couldn't believe that I couldn't land any of them. Very shocked.
  12. Hey guys, My buddy took me to his local lake today in jersey and there was so much hydrillia from the banks going out into the lake. It was like un fishable. I couldn't throw not one lure without have globs of grass, but the water was crystal clear!! And you can see bass everywhere up in the shallows of the banks. You can see big bass sitting on beds. And everytime I try to spot fish them, they didn't hit nothing. Why is that? I through all sizes and color worms and jigs. And even frogs. And they were not interested at all. What's your guys thoughts spot fishing and what works? Thanks Zildjian
  13. I have the zoom's magnum shaky head worm, but haven't thrown it yet, because I do very well with the zoom's magnum trick worm. Also when I first started out I threw the original Shaky head worm and trick worm and get lots of bass of all sizes. I just rig the orignal size worms with Gamagatzu EWG Offset Shank Worm Hook in 2/0 Red or black and for the magnum worms 3/0. Usually in Green Punpkin Worms with Red hooks works best for me. -zildjian

  17. i finally listened to your guys! no more just fishing worms.. i put them away and just fished my jigs. well today was a very cloudy, rained all last night and some today also water condition was stained to dark today. so i looked up whats the best color, and i read black, or black and blue is very good for these conditions. so last night i rigged up my Strike King's hack attack 3/8oz black and blue jig with Yum's Craw Papi green pumpkin/blue specs. and it worked! i couldn't believe it! i just fished it all day and after about 30 casts i felt a nice SMACK! and i just set the hook without even thinking about what it was or could be. and bam this 1lb 15oz Bass surfaced. then after about 30mins later this pig hit me! 3lbs 5oz! just wanted to post and thank you guys for helping me get away from using just one lure!!! Thanks! -Zildjian
