  1. I just bought a big Ring Binder, and I put all my trailers for jigs and anything else I have for soft plastics and I leave them in their original packages that have the hole on the top that they hang in the store, and I put them through the rings of the binder. Very easy to store and find without dumping out all my soft plastic bags to find one, but still very organized.
  2. d**n I'm late!
  3. great posts everyone! thanks a lot for the tips and help! this def is building my confidence up for some night time bassin!
  4. Ok sweet. Thanks for the posts guys! I wasn't sure what to do or where to go when the sun went completely down. I felt like I was wasting my time.
  5. Hey Guys, I just went out with a buddy of mine, fished all late afternoon, and ended up trying to fish after the sun went completely down. this is the first time i ever tried actually fishing at night for bass. and it was awful! lol while it was cool to be on the water at while its pitch black, but fishing sucked! how to you successfully fish at night? i know your suppose to use dark or black color lures, and topwater lures work well. but it was just a big strike out for us. i know lots of people go out during the summer months to night fish, but i can't seem to locate them at night. as during the day time i fish edges of pads, and any fallen timber or lay downs. also edges of of grass, submerged vegetation and drop offs. but where do they go when the sun goes down? does there feeding habits change? do they go deeper or shallow? do they go in sleep mode? i want to do more night fishing in the future, but i would like to be a little more prepared. i honestly had no idea what i was doing. ps. i hate mosquitoes and nats. thanks guys, -Zildjian
  6. That is awesome! Thank you so much for your post! Which unit were these taken on? Also I want to go with humminbird, which model would you suggest I take a good look at over the others? Thanks again! Really appricate it. -Zildjian
  7. I can't tell if this model can do all three 2D,DI,SI or not. I would like 2D as well though. Anyone have any idea?
  8. I was looking at the humminbird 998c SI Combo. Do you guys think it's worth it?
  9. i just got into jig fishing at the beginning of this season, and have had the most success bass fishing to date. just the quality in size of the bass you catch with jigs is remarkable. and by the way... you can't have to many jigs lol well i can't at least! you're going to want to buy all different weights and colors. and same goes for trailers. i couldn't begin to tell you how many i have bought from dicks and orders i put in with north star. but its not uncommon to buy a lot of them, you'll find out your favorite color and trailer and just keep stocking up on them. i love the north star black and blue 3/8oz flip n swim jig with netbait paca craw sr. trailer in any black and blue color. you should buy all different weights and types of jigs to see what you like best. i want to start throwing big swim jigs with big swim bait trailers and see how they produce just chucking and slow roll retrieving back. hope this makes you feel better that your not the only one who has this awful addiction in building your jig collection! -Zildjian
  10. Wow thanks for the post! Great info that I didn't know
  11. I see I see... What's the advantage of a chatterbait over a Spinnerbait or vice versa if they are both so similar lures?
  12. Hey Guys, ive been watching lots of videos lately of guys catching bass on chatterbaits. i've never fished them or even seen this type of lure before. so i picked up a couple in natural, chart, and dark colors to try out, as well as various trailers. but i'm not to sure on how to fish them the correct way. do you slow retrieve? hop it like a jig? burn it fast on retrieve? also, when is the best time of day to throw this lure? thanks guys! -Zildjian
  13. just bought the XD745C Full Grip. thanks again for the help guys!
  14. Awesome! Thanks Eric man! Your always giving me good advice on all my threads! Appricate it.
  15. hey guys, i'm looking for a new jig rod. i mostly throw 3/8oz jigs but i want a rod that can handle up to 1oz plus. so i can fish bigger jigs, flipping and pitching 1/2oz or 1oz T-Rigged baits and also would like it for the use of carolina rigging in deep water. was looking at the Dobyns XD745C but i wasn't sure how i feel about the mag heavy as i only fished medium heavy rods up to this point. Also how does the split cork vs full cork compare on a rod for this? is it personal preference or better weight balance? just wanted to see other peoples thoughts before i made a purchase. but i really want to stay with Dobyns for this type of rod. thanks everyone. -zildjian
  16. Hey guys, Where does everyone get their spare tires for their trailers? I recently bought a Bass Tracker Pro Team 190 TX 2011 model and looking to add a spare tire to the trailer. Thanks guys -zildjian
  17. I always match.. Gotta love North Star Flip n Swim jigs with Paca Crawl Sr. Trailers!
  18. I'm going to go with the Dobyns 805cb RM. thank you guys for all your replies! I really apricate everything! -zildjian
  19. Ok sweet I'll check out that rod too. That 765cb rm 7'6" medium wasn't cutting it. So I'm looking at the 765 Glass, 804cb, and the 805cb rm any thoughts between these three?
  20. You like this rod for deep cranks? 15-20'? And it doesn't bend the rod making it look like your hooked up every single retrieve? I just don't want a rod that bends like that when I throw my KVD 6XDs. Because that's all I want this rod for. Is to throw big boys.
  21. I haven't yet but I'll look into them now! Thanks for the comment!
