  1. Perfect! I also contacted humminbird directly and they confirmed this about chirp as well. Thank you!!
  2. will this be a swapable option for the US2 transducer? Or only avaiable on the newer units? I was just going to ask this. i just bought the HB Helix 7 CHIRP SONAR GPS/G2 specifically for use with the US2 transducer. Is “CHIRP” built into the unit? Or only in use with the factory HB Transducer? I’m worried that I won’t get CHIRP with only using the US2 built in transducer on my Ultrex.
  3. hey guys, i have a Humminbird 1198c SI Combo unit up by the dash as my main sonar. i just noticed the auto chart zero lines card available on the humminbird website. my question is, can i use this to map out my lake? i always thought i needed a newer unit to be able to auto chart, but i've been reading that guys are using this card to chart lakes with 800 and 1100 series units, is this possible? if so, did humminbird come out with a software update to make this possible on older units? i've always wanted to chart my lake out, but i couldn't just purchase another unit just for this feature. any help would be great! Thanks, Zildjian
  4. absolutely, thank you! also, what recommendations of sonar units could you prefer for use of the MK's Universal Sonar 2 built in transducer and does this transducer support water temps? i don't want to purchase a unit that i'll be paying for extra features not capable with the use of the US2. It looks like the US2 only supports 2D sonar,/Gps. so i'm really looking for a 2d sonar unit with the largest screen and best picture.
  5. Thanks for the reply! Thats exactly what I want, something to hook up to a unit and use the built in transducer to see depth, fish, cover etc. I’m just not sure what unit to get. I want to stick with Humminbird and want something large screened. Yeah I didn’t want the link model because I would barely use that feature. How wide of a range does the built in transducer give you? You seem to like it so I might just use that as well.
  6. Hey guys, I just purchased and installed the MinnKota Ultrex TM with i-pilot, I opted out of the link model. I’m looking to pair it up with a Humminbird Bow unit. Do you guys have any recommendations on which unit to go with? I currently have the 1198 series by the dash but I want something for the bow that’s compatible with the Ultrex. Any help would be greatly appreciated. And I’m assuming I’ll have to purchase a mount for the bow and attachment mount for TM transducer separate? thanks, Zildjian
  7. I was debating hard on the 112lb Thurst 36v as well, but had barely any room for a third battery let alone a 4th with a 36v setup. I just took the boat out yesterday for the first time with the new 80lb Thurst and I was shocked at how perfectly it held me in heavy wind. and it is extremely quite. I also have a power pole which I’m considering possibly removing for more fishing and storage compartment clearance. I just don’t think it’s needed anymore with this trolling motor. But this Ultrex lines me up in heavy wind like I’m on a concrete dock. I love it
  8. Thank you! Yeah upgraded from 12v to 24v System and I absolutely love it right now. The charge time is very fast with the new 30amp charger, and this 80lb Thurst is more than enough for my bass tracker. Yes, I was concerned about that when I first saw it. My guy is a very reputable marine mechanics shop owner and said it’s perfecrly fine, and he has been doing it for years.
  9. Just got my boat back from the marine mechanic, and I’m THRILLED with how everything came out. Looks and fits perfectly! https://www.flickr.com/gp/141561989@N08/iv8ms8 https://www.flickr.com/gp/141561989@N08/m7Vw69 https://www.flickr.com/gp/141561989@N08/4J1z2e https://www.flickr.com/gp/141561989@N08/6SaLEE https://www.flickr.com/gp/141561989@N08/n6P3kG https://www.flickr.com/gp/141561989@N08/7R8V9T https://www.flickr.com/gp/141561989@N08/U0i2Eg
  10. Thanks for all the replies! I bought the 30amp NOCO Genius and it is Massive! I have no idea where the mechanic is going to install, but it will definitely not fit in the battery/gas compartment on my Tracker. I asked if they have trouble locating a spot to just install it in my rod locker compartment on the floor. Should be more than enough room.
  11. thanks guys! I’m torn between the GEN3Mini vs 30amp at the moment. more based on size, I don’t have much room to work with in my fuel/battery compartment, but I love the charging speed of the 30amp!
  12. Hey, I’m in the market to upgrade my on board battery charger. I’m looking for a 3 bank charger and came across this model. You guys recommend this brand and series, or have any pros and cons? I’m thinking 10amps per bank is plenty fast enough for me as well, but open to suggestions and options. thanks in advance! -Zildjian
  13. Hey Guys, so I’m pulling the trigger on an Ultrex TM and want to have it recessed on my bass tracker’s deck. Looking for what trays fit best. I’ve noticed a lot of trays on tackle warehouse says they won’t fit Ultrex pedals but I see guys in videos using them, just confused on that. But any help from you guys would be very appreciated. Thanks!
  14. Looking now to see if any fellow tracker anglers has ever suscessfuly installed four batteries on these trackers? If you own a tracker you know the Fuel/Battery compartment is really tight to start. I could probably squeeze a third battery without any modifications, but I want to be able to add four batteries in total for a 36v system. I also have two single storage compartments behind the passenger and driver seats. Wasn’t sure if they would be an option to drop a battery into and drill through for wiring. as far for on board battery chargers and re-wiring for the ultrex, what size wire and chargers do you guys recommend? my tracker was built in 2011, I believe my gauge wire is 8ga. I was thinking about installing a recessed foot pedal plate, but not sure which plate would fit the ultrex best, any ideas would be great. thanks in advance!
  15. Thanks brother! I’ll be updating again soon
