  1. Pbizzle that's priceless lol !
  2. I will check out that read. Thanks WRB!
  3. Makes sense. Especially the overall idea of slower fishing and technique. Will use this when a case of lock jaw comes into play.
  4. Hear a lot about this topic and how helpful it's' use is. Does finesse mean using a weightless worm slowly? Or something else? And why and when is it effective?
  5. Yes. That's correct. :-) Just looked it up. Said it was like the esophagus for the fishy.
  6. When you are thumbing a bass, the mouth is open and you can look down and see the part of what looks like "another part of the human anatomy" lol Is this like the opening to their throat? Also, do the bass eat prey and hold it in their mouth before that "hole" opens? For example when they take a worm, they usually swim a few seconds before I set the hook. Sometimes they "swallow" the hook in this place. Almost seems like the bass hold it in there for a couple seconds then swallow food. Like humans when we keep food in our mouths then swallow.
  7. I caught a 2 pounder last year with a hook coming OUT of its belly. Almost like the hook was passing through the digestive tract and poked through the exterior. Hook wasn't rusty and the fish was plump. I just barely touched it and it started to come out. A light pull and out it came. Really strange. The fish didn't really bleed and it swam off. Another time I pulled out a half gone and rusty hook from the "gut" part of its mouth right near the gills.
  8. Maybe my OP wasn't clear???? My question is pertaining to if the disruption is having a negative impact on the fish. In other words are the fish all scared now and go deep. I never said I was complaining, nor do I give a crap if they get bit, hurt, etc. I just asked about what the bass are probably doing to react to this.
  9. My parents have a nice 3 acre neighborhood pond I fish in with my kayak. Been fishing it about a year or so now. Recently, some kids (maybe 6 or so) actually jump in the pond doing cannonballs and playing war games in it. They through rocks in it to be like bombs and other disruption at the beds, bank areas. etc. I'm going ask my parents if the HOA allows them to do that. I mean there are snapping turtles and snakes in the water too. They have a right to play there but I'm not sure if they can actually in the water. Granted they probably have more of a right to be there than me arguably, but not sure what the fishing has suffered. Whether they can or not, do you all think the last two weeks of this pretty much killed the fishing chances? Or if they continue will it be a negative impact? They usually go out there about 3-4 days a week and a guy I know in the area said they will be there sometimes for hours.
  10. Root beer, Because that is what they told me. I wasn't expecting it.
  11. Dodged the bullet of not working under that managemt team there for sure.
  12. Yeah. I'm done with it. Still shopping there though. Really love the store. Especially our 7 year old daughter. They have a lot of family events there and if anything, to see her happy makes it worth it to put it behind me.
  13. True that reb67. Lol I've had my share.
  14. I am working elsewhere now. Good thing. :-) Still waiting for any follow ups but as I mentioned earlier, I'm pretty much so fed up that I can care less about the whole thing. Sounds like they need to cycle out the staff a few times to get a good one. Similar to changing out break in oil in a new car.
  15. Been there.........
  16. atpns1234, what part do you mean about the honesty?
  17. Before this store was built, the closest BPS was 2.5 hours away. Now it's about 25 minutes. It is a great looking store and they have a ton of family events for the kids too. I have actually shopped there since all of this. The products are great and prices are good. Not to mention a huge selection. I just still keep this bad taste in my mouth and it's hard to get over. The GM doesn't even know what I look like and all the managers I saw have either quit or got fired. So they don't know me by face there. The GM probably doesn't even remember my name. In any event, this is so frustrating. :-/
  18. One of the members of the HR department mentioned the store May issue me gift cards to compensate my fuel and troubles. Also, read my other post regarding your question: "I surely wouldn't work there now because of all this"
  19. Just ticked at all the gas and time I wasted only to have that GM brush it off like nothing. At this rate, they will have a whole new crew by summer. It has been a nightmare. I pretty much just gave up on the whole thing. I surely wouldn't work there now because of all this and have since found work elsewhere.
  20. Long story. I had a management position lined up there when they opened in February. I interviewed there with 4 managers in 2 weeks because one got fired and the other quit so they had an impromptu interview twice. They Lost my resume 2 times. Lost my application 3 times. Over the course of 6 weeks I was offered the position 2 times and the first one was revoked because the hiring manager got fired. So they started over. Yet again? I arrived for my final interview with HR and the new manager forgot about it! I had to wait an hour in the lobby for another dept manger who was there for his second day! The second time I was scheduled to start work in a week, then the department manager decided he didn't have the budget to fund the position. I called back after I got his voicemail the same day and he transferred to another department. Spoke to the GM, she stated she didn't know all of this was going on and not to bother her if I was not chosen and someone else was. I told her that wasn't the case. She literally said she didn't have time for this and thanked me for applying and a new store is expected to have hurdles. called corporate. The guy there was very nice and had the GM call me back. She seemed nicer, but only nicer because she probably got reemed. Still had an attitude. She said she would look into it. Never heard back from her or the follow up from the district GM. I wasted over 8 hours of interviews and over 300 miles of driving over the course of 6 weeks. Now beyond, two more weeks of no calls back. The fact is I got strung along for over 6 weeks to a dead end.
  21. If you had a terrible experience at a local BPS which escalated to the corporate level (because the store level is too inexperienced to handle it) would you go back if they offered you gift cards? Or what if the corporate people just apologized and didn't offer any gift cards? Just curious.
  22. Yeah, I heard about the wire leader with gars. They do tend to chomp right through the regular line.
  23. Angier, NC off hwy 210
