  1. Oink oink!!!!!! Awesome!!!!
  2. My grandfather was in the Navy and loved to travel. Who knows where he caught that thing. In his 91 years he has traveled everywhere there is water lol.
  3. What's probably the weird part is that his mouth looks like it's doing a huge burp lol
  4. What's weird about it?
  5. Spot on!!!
  6. Whoa whoa whoa, JW is a legend!!! IMO he is one of the best anglers out there. I love his shows. No advertising, no trying to sell products, etc. He has caught some true giant monsters on hand held rod and reel. Hours and days on end in the water catching and waiting to catch. Ripped out treble hooks from under his thumb nail, survived plane crash, heart bruised from a tarpon, countless injuries from fighting hand verses fin with huge fish. Yeah, he's legit.
  7. That's what my dad thought. Picture is not the best quality on his phone though. Lol
  8. My grandfather recently passed away in FL. My parents are down there now cleaning his house out. He caught this fish years ago in FL. They are not sure where he caught it. What is this fish? They are bringing it here to NC for me to put in my fishing garage. Thanks! Joe
  9. I love the black and blue color!
  10. Man that stinks. It seems like they would be like, "well you still brought it out of the water so we will count it." I can't imagine how I would feel if someone was showing off their state record or world record fish and I was like "oh yeah well I had a bass weigh a quarter century and I held that pig!" Lol
  11. Was Dottie on the list? Kinda hard to decipher the numbers in the list.
  12. So is this the biggest still to date? Even though she was foul hooked, Dottie still weighed in at 25.03. Doesn't that make her the champ still? Nice fish though. Saw this vid a couple years ago.
  13. I'm not sure when I'll be able to get that theme song out of my head. Monster truck tires in the water too! Sweet! Love those old school shades! It was nice not to see a bunch of advertisements also.
  14. Thanks dale!! Got my map today. :-)
  15. Yes. I have a Lowrance unit.
  16. I live in Angier. Going mostly to Jordan and Harris. I like to use the lipless in the ponds because it is versatile. It seems to be an all year round bait simply because it can go deep or shallow depending on how I reel it in. I head aka ad say that points always point to fish. I will do some research and see what I can find to get knowledge in the area of points too.
  17. Been fishing since 2011. The kind of fishing has been either bank fishing or by kayak or canoe, not the bigger parts of the waters because I didn't have a boat. Now that I bought my bass boat last month I had to sell the kayak (wife's orders lol) and all I have is tjr bass boat. I love it! Lots of fun to drive. However the fun can be better if I can catch fish!!!! The lake is huge, my electronics show MUCH more than it did on the smaller parts with my yak. I need help. I'm lost. Where do I start in a big body of water???? Are there books you all recommend? Videos? Etc. I saw bass boats yesterday all over the lake. Shallows, deep, even trolling the banks. Sure I can mimic them but I want to be on track though. Thanks! Joe
  18. So I go to the ramp today. A guy was there with a john boat. Must have been "newer " than me at loading and unloading his boat. I was next after him. This kid was frantic getting his boat in so I could go. I thought, well this was kinda me last week. I told him to just relax and I was in no hurry. He ha d huge sigh of relief, slowed down and got her in the water. ;-)
  19. Your remark would hold a whole lot more merit had my daughter been on the ramp. When my wife made that comment our daughter was at the end of the dock talking with a couple we knew from her school. Could not hear a thing. Get the facts straight and not just your assumptions before you start running "your" mouth at me bro. We have sense not to act untactful in front of our children. Don't need your parenting advice. Thanks!
  20. True. Just like the two guys that saw the whole thing happen. They helped me get loaded up. ;-)
  21. "I tie up to the dock away from the ramps" What if someone else wants to tie up there too? What if while you're walking up to get your truck I am ready to load/unload? Here is a other good question, what if you go to a lake that doesn't have the "place" to tie up and you MUST tie to the ramp dock and get your truck???? Nope, doesn't make sense man.,....
  22. Yup. I am often alone too. Guess I need my imaginary invisible friend to pull my truck down......Also today my wife and daughter were with the boat showing we were in the process of loading up to leave. Seems the other 2 dozen people in line were courteous and knew what we were doing.
  23. I'm the OP. Are you serious dude?????? I am not considerate because I did EXACTLY what I was supposed to do and MORE! I was next in line to load up but I CHOSE to let TWO more people go ahead of me. So the girl decides to cut me and two other people off. You need to read the posts better before you start throwing stones bro......
