This will be the first year I really focus on cold water techniques but what I plan on having rigged up:
1.Jig
2.Swimbaits - top hooks that can be crawled on bottom
3.Dropshot
4. Suspending Jerkbait
I love my Shimano Crucial 7'11" H but that's for bigger baits like hudds, soft tools, etc. Think its rated from 5-8 oz which I mainly thrown around 4-5 oz baits but I like the heavier rods too!
Thanks A-Jay, I guess that confirms my choice! Although it is a good chunk of change; it should be worth it in the long run! Durability and functionality.
Thanks for all the input guys!! I don't know why it has to be such a tough decision!! I am waiting for a friend who recently purchased the Calcutta D to give me some feedback before I choose. I personally don't like the feel of throwing big baits on smaller low profile reels compared to the round reels. I'm leaning towards the Calcutta D at the moment.
