  1. thanks, I feel my choice in a premier is good aswell, for some reason I am am reverting back to full cork handles
  2. I have a 6"10 compre for weightless flukes and caffeine shad. but lately I want to get into small swimbaits, like swimmin caffeine shads, the berkly plastic baits with the jig head already in bait. Also really loving that new rib shad. thinking a MH premier. I figure a descent weighted rib shad is around 3/4 oz. Also this is a reaction bait right, was having a convo at academy with a dude that said all plastics were in need a good sensitive rod. I figure with these type baits, you gotta cross their eyes
  3. custom rod 7'3 MH-H XF tip, love it can skip frogs under anything and since I am addicted to throwing em, I also have a *** 7'3 MHXF with a daiwa tat type R. cant wait to try that combo out
  4. I am not brand loyal, id mix up crucial at dicks, premiers and omens.

  6. my first over 30 dollar rod, was a mojo, bought it at dicks, thank God with a warranty. next day snapped 6 in off by parking on a hill and door flying back, none since then, if I buy a nice rod, I usually do over counter no hassal warranty as well
  7. thanks for info, I got some going on second season, that I need, so i guess half and half
  8. Hey not jack there's, but do you also offer deal on large quantities. I got about 15 that needs work after this season
  9. i had one last season and loved it, due to a finacial thing, I sold it, biggest mistake i've ever did
  10. same thing, diff paint job right, though that white would look sexy on this crucial
  11. one ended on ebay a while back for 135, shoulda bought it
  12. quantum PT is good stuff, my smoke is well...smoking
  13. i always have some backing on braid, but just the normal amount so it wont slip. braid close to the spool wont go bad, on fluro, since I am no 100% a fan and I heard the if you spool it all the way you waste a lot, I maybe 75 yds, oh wait sorry went a bit OT
  14. i found a 6'3 cork handle old crucial today at my gander for 40, but I have bought 2x veritas, bionic bladed, the mentioned crucial and about 70 bucks in lures. I relay didnt need that rod since I have a 6' pistol already
  15. lol good reads, hope you guys are not like the weekend warriors at my lake, the line up with the 30 rods on deck, I walk by shore fishing with 3 rods, ask hows the fishing or what colors yall throwing, I get no response, people in my overfished lake get to hardcore. you think theyd want to help this lonely bank beater.
  16. seems the Gs price went almost through the floor but the Es are still pricey. With the new CI4 when will the Es somewhat go down. I Know they are good but I was just wondering as the E207 is still 200.00 vs the new CI4 that my dicks for some reason has on sale for like 245.00
  17. got mine for 25.00, 7 M mod and a demon for 1.5-2.5 and 1/4 oz traps
  18. lol was on sale, what can you expect... plus ole buzzbaits dont take much sensitivity
  19. i got a 7 MH paired with my T3 and I hope it it is a good buzzbait rod
  20. Academy at my place is pretty much have a spring cleaning or going out of fish sale, Veritas 50-60, most if not all Allstars 50-70 and mojo bass 50.00 plus vendettas 2s like 40, bunch other but those what caught my eye
  21. not really dead set, just a got lure rating a litle over an ounce, full handle, and I hear dobyns alot. my sellus is a MHXF 6'8 and even holding a ounce rating, it it s a hella bend on rod for a 3/4 spook. may look at a loomis, but hate to pay that much for a rod that well, doesn't really need to be that sensitive
  22. sorry been looking at so many rods, thought it was 6'8 so you like the XF, but your saying it would be good for what I wanna do, I only 3 1/4 oz anyway and use a 6'6 spinning if i do use them, most of my stuff is 3/8, 1/2 and even a few 3/4
  23. tire of my shimano sellus and want a full cork handled rod. Looking at the Dobyns champ crank 6'10 MH mod fast.685. I have always been told Fast or XH for topwater but figure the same principal applies to tops as is does for cranks, gives it time for the fish to pop bait under water so you wont miss. Any way got a good lure rating. Whats your opinions on it? Will be using spooks, gunfish, poppers and devils horses
  24. as topic states, dont ask why they are odd priced, but my local hickory one has them for 130.00 but the one in down the road had a nice 7'2 MHXF casting for 100.00 best deal of the seaon so far
