make a chain of swivels 3 or 4 on them together on the end of the line attach a crank bait or i use sinker tied off the the end on the swivels, run as much line out as you can and troll for a while, object is to get the line to untwist itself.. i do it every time we go out, the old way is still the best way i think, not only does it get most the twist out you also wet pack the spool, more common in offshore fishing but that doesn't matter it still makes a difference.

i agree, how your fishing it what your fishing and etc and how sensitive you need something for what your doing is more the question and what sacrifice is made to get it more and more and what point is it sensitive enofe? try cod fishing LOL there famous at sucking that bait off the hook without a trace but yet its a weird feeling though hard to explain but half the time your like was that a bite, well instead of thinking about it just set the hook because it was.

well the rear grip comes into play without the trigger.. you don't want it to feel like your hands going to slip either... don't know how to exactly how to explain it but if the grip is short with a fast taper down and leaving you nothing behind your pinky isnt all great but if its some meat there and is cigarish in taper and gives you something behind your hand it works.

you know i had a dream that i was hunting and i had to go to the bathroom so i went to the bathroom in my dream while hunting and woke up to find out that i wasn't hunting but i was going to the bathroom and it doesn't embarrass me cuz its funny right LOL and yea i was not a little kid either LOL and now man do i wake up when i have that dream ill be looking for somewhere to go and I'm like THIS IS A DREAM and jump out of bed and run to the bathroom LOL that doesn't embarrass me so im sure there is nothing i can't do or say that would top that one.

i don't like them either... i just mount a spin reel seat upside down. i haven't seen it out there on factory rods other than conventional surf,, but i also haven't really been shopping for them either so i don't know.. if you patent your idea you can call it the Alabama casting reel seat, don't get mad if your made fun of or if someone posts a video on how to make your own.

good morning everybody. as for drift on a serious note.. my boss yesterday morning called, all he said was oh f and the phone went dead, so rather that open a topic i figure at least someone might read it here.. so anyway i tried several times to get a hold of him and nothing and both texted him and messaged him this morning again and still nothing so at this point I am worried. and that's how my day is going.

i catch and release myself im not capable of eating fish everyday of the week but i catch and keep also LOL... it is annoying when your say catching trout or whatevers on the dinner menu and someone there keeps hint hinting you that it would be good to let them go and then maybe you could catch a big one someday and your like really thats ok this is perfect size any bigger and it wouldn't fit in the pan. i think ive seen more members here comment that they do the same and there nothing wrong with catching dinner so i don't get the c and r complaint really.. i mean there always someone out there thats is all hyped up on c and r but when they leave the lake everyone else is standing there like wow that guy has issues.

what a waist.. that's not the way you quit a forum, if you really want to quit. your suppose to get banned and the longer the ban the better a job you did, what a rookie.. your suppose to raise some hell poke some eyes and at least go out with a good show, it kinda sweet if you get to break every rule there is also before getting the boot what a waist, i bummed out now. no show here people move along nothing worth following.

i agree more or less with dvt.. to few isnt good but to many isnt whats it made out to be either, to each his own on the subject... if i was selling you guides id tell you more though... you need 1 guide for every inch of rod LOL

oh and tape up your finger if your casting some weight with that spin rod... or wear a casting glove or just don't try to cast a mile...

could list an endless list..... hit up a local bait shop or 2 and see what the flavor is get the stuff you need then... for rigs and etc your looking at the same problem but there all simple enough you can just ask at the bait shop what you need it would take them maybe 2 mins for them to set you up with the right rig for what your useing for bait with the correct hook and etc... endless list and when you get there you could just be fighting an eel on a hook, just remember eels work better when there a little dumb, so feel free to whack its head against the bucket. its really a disapointing sport when it comes to fishing, i mean you can go there with everything perfect and get nothing not even a skate and then go back and you can walk across the things it so thick with strippers and then and hour later it is all over.. run up and down a beach chasing schools as soon as you hook into it and catch a fish there so far down the beach that catching up to them again isnt possible.. you hook into a monster to have him use the breaker wave on ya, thats fun..the beach fleas eat you and nothing keep em away... ... its always better fishing at night so your up all night and then drive home in the morning after swinging that 10' rod all night you smell like bait get home have to clean fish all you want to do is sleep but not allowed in bed smelling like that so you jump in the shower and at the point you like yea im not sleeping now. . why do i keep going back for more i have no clue. doesnt hurt to take a run around with a truck and find people fishing and see whats going on, ive gone fishing for stripper to watch people get flounder and quickly change to flounder. i was like what? flounder? forget about the stripper i want to catch flounder. as for a tip to catch stripper, with bait? keep the rod in your hand, keep it out of the sand spike... keep the reel bail open and your hand on the spool and hold the line keeping it tight and not slack... soon as you feel a bite let the line go right away and let some line dump out give her line... close the bail and set up to set the hook remember close the bail, soon as she pulls that line tight set it.... problem most the time is strippers will hit softer than a trout and they will spit the bait out the second the feel that rod and the bigger the stripper the softer they bite.
