  1. I can only imagine
  2. Very well written by the way, it's not often you see kids our age using proper grammar.
  3. You would been better off with the cheapest Shakespeare Baitcaster than the escalade. That thing is a nightmare. The best reel I can reccomend to you is a Daiwa Strikeforce 100H, Lew's Laser MG. the Daiwa goes for 30$ on eBay, best beginning reel in the world. And the Lew's goes for 79$ about as much as the escalade. Both are high quality reels.
  4. I used those at erie!! I caught a bunch of smallmouth in the marina in Westfield NY with my cousin.
  5. Escalade.... Oh boy.. Yeah they're good rods.
  6. Lew's, best made, best reel for the money. Any Lew's, preferably the MG.
  7. I use the Shimano Curado 300EJ for Umbrella Rigs. The EJ is my favorite, I use it mostly for umbrella rigs but sometimes I'll throw live bait rigs on it ( live sunfish ). The reel has a LOT of torque.
  8. My gramp gave me his Stella, most amazing reel I have.. It has sentimental value to it for me so I kept it on the rod he used it with and I don't plan on using it. I will end up hanging it on my wall, he passed in 07. But I agree, the Stella is amazing.
  9. Mid-Priced Combos Canean baitcaster, Shimano Sellus Casting Rod Citica baitcaster, Abu Garcia Veritas Casting Rod Lew's Speedspool baitcaster, Abu Garcia Vengence Casting Rod Lew's Tournament MG baitcaster, Rick Clunn S-Glass Casting Rod Pflueger President spinning reel, Shimano Sellus Spinning Rod Pflueger Arbor XL spinning reel, Vendetta Spinning Rod High-Priced Combos Shimano Curado baitcaster, G-Loomis Bronzeback Casting Rod Ardent Edge Inshore Pro baitcaster, G-Loomis GL2 Casting Rod Pflueger Patriarch spinning reel, TFO Gary Loomis Spinning Rod Those are my favorite combos that I own. Most are under 250$ except the high end combos.
  10. This video was made by a fellow member of this forum, this should help more. Personally, I cut my guide with my ugly sticks, with rods that are special to me I use the heat gun.
  11. blue is my favorite color <3
  12. cut it off and purchase a Fuji Rod Tip repair kit, it'll replace the entire tip. I use it quite a bit, hope this helps:)
  13. You can find the schematics online, I am unsure of the part #. It should be under the main gear, it's a disc with teeth, if you already know what the clutch wheel is you should be able to talk to DVT and he'll give ya the #.
  14. Cavitron and Norman.
  15. In my opinion, Swimbaits = Trophy Bass. Huddleson Baits, LC Swimbaits, and Sebile are my favorite swimbait companies.
  16. We have it many places where I live, it isn't much of a threat to bass as it is to Trout. All the clear water streams have it where I live. I'm fully against felt soles on waders. I always scrub my kayak after a Rappahonak river excursion, the VDGIF has found Didymo in that river so I try my best not to spread it. Smallmouth are effected by it too. Largemouth seem to be unphased by it according to the local Fishery Biologist.
  17. How'd you lose it ? How'd you get it?! Was the GL2 okay?
  18. I own 20 Daiwa reels and 17 shimanos. Half of them I don't have rods for. 10 of the Shimanos are made in Japan. And 15 of my Daiwas are made in Japan. I definitely prefer the Japanese made reels.
  19. I woulda thrown something heavy at them.
  20. I reel only with my right hand. No matter what reel. Which is funny because I can pitch/bat with both handnesses, with accuracy. But I can't use both hands reeling.
  21. Ahaha very true Heck I think I have a Curado 300EJ on an Ugly Stick Lite somewhere.
  22. Ew.. I went thru 3 Skeet Reese Reels in 4 months.. The drag got shot, the reel wouldn't stop making noise after countless times of cleaning it and the wormshaft got worn from being fished. All 3 of them.
