  1. doubtful.. I fish that lake and catch bowfins on berkley hogs.
  2. I caught a 10lb and a 6lb snakehead last summer on a livetarget frog and a H&H spinner, on the Potomac.
  3. Over the the years I've accumulated hundreds of rapala lures, and my all time favorite so far is the Rapala DIVES-TO series. What I really like about this crank is that you don't have to rip the crank to depth, as soon as you start reeling the bait goes straight to the depth stated on the box, I prefer the DT-4 over any of the other depths only because of the waters I choose to fish, there is simply no way I can get an 8ft crankbait in the these weeds in VA. So I settle for the 4ft. Outstanding performance, hook set is great along with the durability of the lip. I've had several lips on my bomber's get torn to sheds due to hitting rocks, this crank has no problem with it. For around 5-8$ it isn't a bad buy. I'd definitely reccomend it.
  4. My girl and i passed y'all, we were lake hopping, went to the city docks in fredericksburg, smith lake, aquia harbour and lunga. Got several bites including some hits on a frog. But no fish caught. Going out again tomorrow.
  5. When the water is cold, try crawfish cranks that go 8-10 feet, the fish are more aggressive towards the crayfish cranks than the regular fish cranks. And I wouldn't count out frogs, if there is another cold snap, try going out the morning after the cold snap, the bass go crazy on frogs then.
  6. Go caps! Even though they are losing:(
  7. Going out fishing till 8pm with my girl, gonna try a couple lakes and ponds. First stop, the Rappahannock.
  8. Nice man! We oughta fish sometime.
  9. First off, I'm a big fan of Rapala products and when I saw that they were the parent company of Suffix, I figured I would try it. As soon as I took it out of the box I fell in love, 17lb test clear was so smooth and slick I couldn't believe I only payed 7 dollars for it. Spooled it up on my Curado and I fell in love. Outstanding casting abilities with this line, I have never seen mono line fly off the spool so smoothly. It's amazing. Not once have I had it break on a fish, it has a perfect amount of stretch and strength. I reeled in about 400+ bass last season on that line and I have no bad things to say about it.
  10. Red eyed bass are called Rock Bass.
  11. Lost a huge bass on my Carolina rig out on Lake Curtis, caught a few little ones. Definetly windy, fished from 8-6 and then driving home my paddle snapped in half somehow and so now I need to go buy one.
  12. . I went yesterday to Curtis to scout out some areas and caught a couple nice 2lb bass on a jerkbait, tomorrow is supposed to be perfect so I'm gonna go out and work the structure. I live a mile from Abel and tried it out in January, a whole day fishing and caught 1 bass under a pound. I'll tell you how it goes, leaving at 8am.
  13. Going out on Lake Curtis tomorrow in the kayak, got it rigged for spring fishing.
