  1. http://www.wildlife.state.nh.us/maps/boatfish/ I find this site helpfull sometimes. Just zoom in the area and will show both boat launch and canoe launches.
  2. Live bait worm with bobber can catch many species. I got my nephews started on a wacky rigged worm on their mickey mouse spincaster.
  3. In PA for a family vacation to Hershey and was proud of my self for finding some bass here in a bear swimming pond at Hershey park
  4. They went the next day after catching the 10lb fish and caught a 8.2 pound fish and released it. remember the state record is 10 pounds 6 ounces. Best time would be the fall at this water hole. there is to much water traffic at this time of year there. I'm happy catching any size fish it's always a thrill for me.
  5. My friend just sent me a picture from his taxidermist of the 10lb fish he caught last year on NH waters last fall. Soon it will be mounted on some drift wood and going home. official weight from a certified scale was 10.01lbs. All I can say it was caught in waters in Rockingham county.

My friends bass just got done and soon will be mounted on some drift wood. This was caught in NH 10.01lb on a certified scale even has the weight ticked to put on the back of the mount.
  7. Truck still has a problem with it I can drive it but can't tow with it hoping just a O2 sensor hoping withing the week it will get fixed. Was told just under 20lbs took Keezar lake today. I guess the wind was not to much of a factor like we had down here. but that was from a short text from my buddy fishing it.
  8. Good luck to the people fishing the Maine Bass Trail tournament today. My guess brutal conditions but fish will be caught.
  9. Shane how are you rigging your rage shad? I've only seen success with a swimjig.
  10. Umbagog in NH Has been pretty consistent lately best in smaller boat that lake eats lower units.
  11. Wind creates currents which creats ambush point for bass to use around cover and points, small fish sometimes cant handle the currents in the water produced by the wind. just like water going to a storm drain goes around bends and curves. Fish those protruding points that can let bass take advantage of the situation. As far as fishing in bad wind 15-30 mph+ I use a wind anchor on my boat when I am not in to shallow of the water. It's all trial and error till you find a comfort point nothing is easy. My dream fishing day will be wind in the 5-10mph, smooth calm water makes for a long slow fishing day.
  12. Did Swains today nothing to impress 6 bass including 2 smallmouth nothing over a pound but it looks like the lake had another spawn lots of fresh week old beds.
  13. On vacation next week but need to fix my truck first (vct selenod) Hope everyone will have a good weekend for fishing the big ones are biting.
  14. Fished Swains today after 2 weeks of no fishing. The fish were on fire and I lost count how many caught(sore thumbs). Mostly 1-2 pounder's hanging around large rocks in 3-6 ft of water. Skipping a wacky rig under the tree limbs and bush's produced much larger size fish 2-4 lbs. Only a couple caught with the new live target soft frog I'm trying out. It was very windy today with the fronts moving through. What worked black jig with blue chiggar craw, texas smoke (bass pro) wacky rigged worm, Live target soft frog, and a couple on a storm arashi squarebill around the sunken trees. Heres my attempt at some gopro editing of short piece my day there.
  15. Usually yellow buoys with yellow stripes and black lettering will designate the area as milfoil. the chemical is done by floating orange or green sticks poking up in the water and releasing the stuff. At least that's the way they did it a couple years back..
  16. Let me know what you want to learn on Great East almost 40 yrs fishing it and know it very well.
  17. They did it several years ago, less weeds=less oxygen the fish will be stressed.
  18. I will just fish the big part of Mousam after Memorial day the ramp area becomes a race track with the skier's and tubers going full throttle without a clue.
  19. Did Swains with a friend today for 3 hours after the rain stopped, got almost a dozen, biggest about 2lbs all fish were skinny. I'm thinking this lake is post spawn now. black jig with a pumpkinseed green chiggar craw, and texas smoke wacky worm caught the majority today. My buddy caught a couple with his homemade chatterbait.
  20. The big bite on my side of the state is on (not as big as MaineBass) biggest was 5.4 but lots of 2,3,4 pound fish almost 4 dozen at Great East lake, also I caught a 2.2lb crappie I know nothing about these fish except they are eating mostly down south what got me was the fact I have been fishing this lake for almost 40 years and never caught a single one till today. I sent a pic to my buddy and he got upset because I put it back into the water. No bass beds but I did see more crappie on a couple beds. pumpkin seed green 5" Chigger craw on a 1/2 black jig was the over all favorite today. I tried rage craws but they wanted something bigger. I threw it at any cover then just dragged it back to the boat mostly on shores that had rocky banks towards 15-20 feet of water. The second basin was where I caught the most today. 65 degrees while the river was at 62-63 I did weigh it but I forgot the measure it, for scale my sandal foot is 12 1/2 inches long.
