  1. Did some fishing Sunday it was tough but was able to locate both smallmouth and largemouth bass. the summer boat traffic on the lakes is heating up also. Has anyone else notice the grass and weeds are late growing this year? Snapped a pole while casting a chatterbait the guy on shore thought it was a gun going off lol. Chatter baits, wacky rigged senkos and floating frogs were the winners Sunday.
  2. Bass will spawn all summer if the their inner cycle gets messed up. Finally a day off and what lake do I need to fish.
  3. Ever have a day so perfect it messes up the fishing? That's what happened Sunday at Moose Pond with 21 boats The winning bag was just a little over 16 lbs for 5 fish weigh in. I had my limit with just over 9 lbs. It was one of those hard blue bird days of fishing in very very clear water.
  4. http://www.wildlife.state.nh.us/Fishing/bathy_maps.htm You can find a bunch of NH lakes with basic depth info here.
  5. The big ones I have caught this week have been right on shore in inches of water or standing in the cabbage. Your doing the right thing casting parallel. Tourney on Moose Pond, Maine Sunday for me.
  6. I'll see you on Moose Sunday and will be sure to say hi.
  7. Be careful with public water supply area's most places have strict policy's up to and including the use of deadly force is granted (Maine Standish ramp) Sebago they carry sidearms and will only ask you a couple times to get your feet out of the water before action is taken. I know this seems foolish but it is a lot harder to take contagions out of the water then oil's and grease. As a licensed fisherman you should always set a example, not a excuse to close public access to water ways.
  8. Did Cobbosseecontee today. I took two other people who have never fished it before. Almost two dozen fish. My biggest was 4.5 the biggest on the boat was 5.5 and I lost 7-8 pounder right next to the boat when my drag failed on my spinning rod. One of the people in my boat even caught one using his possum top water lure which is over a foot long the wind was brutal today on the lake 25+mph. Surprisingly wacky rigged senkos caught all the big fish today.
  9. Starting to really see the value of chatterbaits paired with a swim bait in both shallow and deep water applications.
  10. Looks like I am planning a trip to Cobbosseecontee lake, Maine for this weds then its off to Moose Pond for a tournament Sunday, another 500 miles worth of driving. I love fishing season.
  11. Spend as much time celebrating graduation with friends as possible, been over 30 years for me and still relish the thoughts of the last days of high school. My hat tips for your future service and a big thank you for volunteering for the USMC.
  12. Did Horn Pond today and slammed them, me and my partner caught over 2 dozen and nothing was smaller then 2 lbs the biggest was over 5 lbs. It was a picture perfect day for jigging and chatterbaits.
  13. Nice to see top water action on here, hitting Horn Pond Thursday
  14. Brandon Palaniuk he is the future of the sport
  15. No fishing for me today. I have the worlds biggest cold for fishing two days straight in the rain the past week. guess this will give me time to clean my boat out for once and get rid of all the empty plastic bait bags floating around in the compartments. Have fun all on this nice day.
  16. Great seeing the sport passed on to the younger generation.

  19. Did Moose Pond yesterday for the first time 19 total. It was nice to read a lake and have it produce. Would have been nice to see the whole of Shawnee Peak ski mountian but the low clouds stayed with us the whole day. Now my favorite local lake Great East for Sunday. Done almost 600 miles of towing my boat in 7 days all in the name of bass fishing. Forgot to say I caught them on black with blue jigs, wacky worms in pumpkinseed/blue specks, black/neon. Missilebait craw jigs brown/red sparkle. Chatter baits white with a white zminnow attached. It was cloudy/ rain all the time and water temps were 67-71 on different parts of the lake.
  20. Was able to get some time off of work this week. Did Arrowhead yesterday almost 3 dozen in the schooly size 1-3 lbs. air temp was 55 but water temp was 68-70, today heading to Moose Pond for the first time with a good friend. Hoping to do Great East Sunday. Will have bass thumbs for sure this week.
  21. Welcome to the group you will find some shore fishermen here also.
