Here you go southern NH, 10.01 lbs 25 inches long 18 inch girth Caught yesterday on a southern NH water (He won't tell me right away) but promises to let the location out because there are even bigger fish there. Some of you might know Ed he is also the State champ on this years Maine Bass Trail I fished in this summer. He told me he caught it on a deep jig.

  4. Also wind and water current have been playing factors, brown grass is dying grass = no oxygen it releases c02 till it's done decaying so fish don't hang around those areas so I look for the green grass ridges. Just little things I have noticed over the years.
  5. Kinda what we found on Keezar we were catching the fish on the weed-grass areas retrieving against the wind through and above any bright green grass.
  6. Great fishing right there congrats on the achievement
  7. Fished Keezar lake in Maine Thursday caught more then 2 dozen with me and two other friends in the boat. These are what worked, my wise a$$ friend took this picture while I was tangled up after a run on the lake The largest was a 3 1/2 largemouth on the lower small end of the lake. the upper large end we got on some smallies with the biggest at 3 and 2 1/2 pounds. all and all a great time on the lake but getting out was crappy dragged the frame of my boat trailer on the ramp because the water is getting to low to put the boat on the trailer correctly but that will be solved soon with my new f150 supercrew Have fun fishing the best time of year out there.

This is what worked all tangled up after a run on the lake.
  9. Did Keezar yesterday The bite was slow but I was trying to learn as much of the lake I could. The lower end we manage a dozen bass the largest at 3.5 lbs Then the upper big lake over a dozen including a 3 lb and a 2.5 smallie fished it with two other people in the boat. Chatterbait, Jigs, rattletraps and wacky rigs got the fish darker colors in the morning clouds then the bass switched to more natural colors when the sun finally came out. The ramp is another story if the lake goes down anymore I dont know how boats are going to launch for the open coming up I dragged my frame a little bit taking the boat out. This is what worked on the lake all tangled up after a run on the lake.
  10. Maybe I might see you on Keezar Thursday? On vacation as well and taking a couple people with me to fish it
  11. The fun part about going to a northern lake is picking up some tackle I might need, Shane and Mainebass what was the predominant color the bass were hitting on during your northern adventure? I noticed a rage craw but I don't recognize that color.
  12. Sounds like great fishing to me
  13. I'm I'm NH also. I don't mind doing the lake regions Alton bay winter Harbour lees mills area but I like the border lakes a lot great east.horn mousam and such for some reason maine lakes have a better fish population lately
  14. Horn Pond today finally catching them on crankbaits and jigs, tubes did well also. Most fish between 2-3 lbs so the fall bite is turning on here. Most fish were in the shade areas of the structures I caught them on in 6-12ft range. Glad I did not fish the lunker tourney on Little Ossipee in Maine, some one brought in a 8lb LM
  15. Horn Pond today almost 2 dozen the larger bite is starting to turn on, Jigs and crank baits and tubes around the structure. 6-12ft Cabbage areas did well also. most fish 2-3lbs better then the smaller ones I have been catching lately.
  16. Doing Horn Pond Sunday. Just myself fishing sometimes it just feel good that way
  17. Hitting Keezar thurs next week but looked at the calender its the same week of the fair so it should be interesting coming home through all that traffic. I have fished the lower basin now to fish the main part of the lake. I have heard that when the lake turns on for jigging be prepared for some brutes.
  18. Nope that was one I had to miss, I just learned how to vent a fish to help with those problems. I'm just at beginner level for the drop shot rig It might be a patience issue with me. Might be at the Little Ossipee lunker tourney sunday will see how it goes. Next week (Thurs) heading up to Keezer to pre-fish the open coming up there on the 19th.
  19. I havent night fished in years.
  20. Did Swains yesterday just one fish on a chatterbait they have already started drawing it down almost a foot down from the last time I fished it and the water is very stained,
  21. I need to make a trip with my boat up Champlain some day it's been on my bucket list.
  22. Most of the map programs get their initial depth from the Gov, I have always been partial to Navionics You can go on their web site for free http://webapp.navionics.com/?lang=en this will show you all the lakes that have depth on them it will be the same on the chip. I also have it n my tablet and phone as a backup too.
  23. The deepest I have hit fish this year has been about 20 ft cant imagine the over 30 ft
  24. What a tough day only one fish and that was with a chatterbait. they have already drawn down Swains almost a foot. I can see the fish on the finder but they are suspended and just not biting the lake was stained not the usual clear water. I think I need to head up north again.
  25. Fishing Swains today going to bring my silent fishing partner Cosmo.
