  1. Tournament time On Great East Weds 8-2 $60 a boat 5 fish limit. if anyone is interested meeting at ramp 7:30am Sponserd by Moes Bass Busters. I will be there.
  2. Worked the large weeds flats in 4-6ft. The big one was caught on a keitech fat impact electric shad on a #5 keeper hook with a 1/4 tungsten bullet. upper part of lake got them with texas smoke (basspro color)wacky. 1/2 ounce black and blue jig with a green pumpkin rage tail craw. Chatter baits worked also for some of the fish in the weeds. You can only fish the flats with wind and clouds, if clear and no wind don't wast your time.
  3. Fished Mousam lake in Maine yesterday you might say it was a great day to fish, Over a dozen including this chunky one.
  4. Fished Lee's Mill on Winni Sat. Slow day only 4 fish caught all but one smallmouth. A 100 boat tournament will be there next Sat.
  5. I have not but I do know you can't have any gas powered boats on it. but there are largemouth and smallmouth in it.
  6. Spro bronzeye Matches great in the pads and brush.
  7. Fished Great East with a friend today, Got off the lake just before the heavens crashed all around us. Only a half dozen today. For some reason it was a hard catch. All were on a jig slowly dragged off deep submerged rocks. 10-20ft. Most were all females eating for the first time all their bellies were sunk in. Black blue jigs with a green pumpkin chigger craw.
  8. Did Horn Pond today.Today it was the smallmouth doing the show, biggest was about 3 lbs for smallmouth but 4 lbs for the largemouth. I caught 3 times more smallies. This place is normally known for it's very decent size largemouth. With those storms going through today it got the fish excited in the morning then no bites by noon time. green pumpkin jig with blue chiggar craws, texas smoke 5 inch senko (basspro color) wacky rigged then a black bodied chatter bait paired with a keitech fat impact silver flash. this was fished through all the grass and pads sitting in 1-3ft of water.
  9. Fishing Saturday but 2 people called out on me so going at it alone. Fishing Horn Pond on the border with NH and ME should be some good sized ones nibbling with the fronts moving in again in the afternoon.
  10. Nice day at Great East. Got there about 9am in some rain fished till 1 or so when the wind started to kick up. The ride back was through some 4ft swells that can kick up on that lake. Still was able to get about 2 dozen most of them this size. Casting to king of the hill structures (solitary structures) in 4-10 ft of water just kept producing the bite. Was even able to use the frog on the lily pads that are popping up. All in all a good day of fishing.
  11. The last I heard were the repairs are completed and the lake is filling up.
  12. Did Greateast Saturday. The lake is in post spawn with only a couple caught the biggest just under 2 lbs. Wacky rig skipped under the branches on the sunny shore line was the areas of the most bites. Spotted a nice size bass flipped a senko to it, it even landed on its back and it didn't move so I gave up with the bass being lock jawed. The water was 64 the lake is a cold lake so it takes some time to go higher. thrown were wacky rigged senkos, chatter baits, jigs with chigger craws, multiple colors as the clouds dissipated.
  13. Finally got out for the first time this year yesterday. Did Swains in Barrington it's pretty much post spawn now about 2 dozen small schoolies nothing over a pound mostly caught tight near shore skipping under tree branches or structure. Tried looking for the bigger ones but could not pin them done no matter what the depth.
  14. Hard baits put you in the realm of cadence. The hard bait is tuned to the correct "wobble" This is where the reel speed comes in and I have even seen videos talking about the amount of line used changes your retrieval speed. It takes time to master it (I havent) but I know a few people who have and put me to shame.
